Hey guys,

I have a potential job opportunity for US based LPers. The position is remote, working at home from your computer.

The company is called Apruvd which is a Fraud protection company, [vital]Myth is the COO. We pair with online merchants and review their orders for fraud, guaranteeing 100% money back on all approved orders. We take a % per order depending on what plan they sign up for and we do not charge for declines. We have an automated system that auto approves/declines a large chunk of the orders, the rest are manually reviewed.

The Job:

Manually reviewing orders for Fraud. You will receive info such as: email/phone/billing + shipping address/ip info/many other data sources that provide valuable info and fraud detection. With that info you will use all available online data sources to prove whether the order is legit or not.

Base skills needed:

1) Mechanical keyboard skills. Lets go high APM users. Need people who have decent WPM/all around mouse and keyboard usage.
2) Logic and Multi-tasking.
3) Google search / FB search skills. Ever stalk someone on the internet? We're professional stalkers.

Fairly obvious why I am targeting LPers, Poker/Starcraft skills directly translate. Besides Myth and myself, we have two other former poker players on staff.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

I'm guessing US based cause you're gonna have to sign NDAs and shit and lets be real... NDAs outside of the USA don't count for shit

I have a friend who works in a similiar UK based company that operates on all markets, seems like an interesting job, but their database and outreach is pretty huge

Well, I went into e-commerce a while ago. At first selling other people's stuff but we quickly noticed that people will just go to the cheapest seller available and there is always someone willing to make less money than you. So we have a couple brands ourselves and sell a few brands that protect their brand well. That's getting pretty good lately. Especially corona gave us an insane boost over the last 2 years.

A couple of our sites:
https://www.sousvidekenner.nl This site is specialized in an aweome cooking technique called sous vide. We are the market leader in NL for that. If you don't know the technique then google it, it is awesome. I didn't know a thing about this technique before we started selling it. We found this niche through clever market research.
https://www.dronekenner.nl A site specialized in DJI drones, our first shop in 2015. Basically from a basic line of thought: "What's cool and expensive? Let's sell that" :D . At first it obviously didn't work out, but we learned and adjusted so now it's pretty succesful. The success came kinda random though.
http://www.instantpot.nl We are the distributor for a popular brand. It's not only a pressure cooker, its also a slowcooker Cool device that is popular in more main stream circles.
Couple other smaller sites too. Our goal now is to become more popular in other EU countries and find more niches like sous vide.

Very cool. Congrats on the success.

Maybe I can interview you and Nazgul someday to talk about stuff like pre-LP.net, they heyday of LP.net, and what you guys are doing now.

Digging up old memories is sometimes fun.
