Gregor Gillespie made that look easy.

He finished with 1 second left in R2, and only got hit with one punch in 9 minutes and 59 seconds.

Little early of a stoppage, imo. But I don't care, since I didn't have anything riding on this fight.

Congrats to Henry Cejudo.

just about to start yeah. anthems

Still bummed about TJ losign like that. Cejudo's striking was nullified by DJ in their fight which speaks a lot how good DJ's stand up is after all. I just had a feeling TJ could get clipped because against non-strikers he throws caution to the wind and almost always gets clipped (except for Barao where he was extremley cautious). I cant wait for the rematch coz Dana doesnt seem happy at all with the result lol

MMA is better than boxing, but boxing has way better fighter entrances

I smell a throw by Adrien to set up MayPac 2 tbh.
Broner has nowhere to go but Pac and May can set up another megafight. It wouldnt surprise me if they pay him to take a dive on this one. Mayweather is Broner's management team TMT iirc. They'll be setting up a "Pacquiao still has it" narrative lol

R1: Pacquiao (Broner was asleep)
R2: Pacquiao (closer round, but PacMan did a little more)
R3: Pacquiao (clear round for PacMan; Broner didn't throw much aside from a few jabs)
R4: Broner (Broner started to land, while PacMan didn't land much and was less active)
R5: Pacquiao (PacMan was more active, nothing more to say)
R6: Pacquiao (PacMan was more active)
R7: Pacquiao (Big round for PacMan; Broner just isn't doing anything, kinda weird...)
R8: Pacquiao (PacMan was more active)
R9: Pacquiao (Broner attempted a single leg take down, but PacMan showed pretty good TDD for a Filipino)
R10: Broner (Slow round for both guys, which means it was fought at Broner's pace)
R11: Pacquiao (Similar to R10; it could go either way)
R12: Pacquiao (Broner literally ran the entire time and just wanted the fight to be over with)

Manny Pacquiao 10-2, imo.

There were a bunch of good performances by 1 fighter in several fights. None of the fights were actually good, except for Neal vs. Muhammad.

Still an entertaining card, though.

I agree with you. Stoppage was a bit early. But i think TJ is over reacting. He's acting like it was the earliest stoppage of all time.

Cejudo landed 5 clean strikes in a row and Dillashaw thought the referee is Cejudo once the fight was stopped, he was clearly going to get KOed

Perhaps he could've eaten 3-4 more shots though, true

No idea why he went down to 125, it felt like Cejudo is the father gorilla playing with his son

Had TJ on the end of a 5/5 dk lineup and a wager on him so I was really hoping it went longer. But re-watching it, really wasn't a bad stoppage. I guess for a champ-champ fight you could say you let it go longer but those are grey unwritten areas that can't be called upon with any consistency. Ref's job is simply to protect when a guy isn't intelligently defending and TJ wasn't even looking in Cejudo's direction towards the end

Amusing that Dana White stormed off instead of strapping Henry's belt and Henry immediately called it out. Double edged that a now older guy who has accomplished/made all the $ he could have ever hoped for in life somehow is still so invested in this stuff that he still does random knee-jerk petty stuff when things don't go his way. Can see his view though. Prob had been wanting to close the flyweights down, and TJ is mostly a prick but a good bit more marketable than Cejudo. Esp a TJ coming off 'killing a division'
