- On August 13, the card suffered multiple changes due to injury: Brandon Thatch and Shinsho Anzai pulled out of their respective fights against Erick Silva and Luan Chagas. Silva and Chagas are now expected to face each other. Renato Moicano and Joaquim Silva also pulled out of their respective fights against Mike De La Torre and Gregor Gillespie. Their replacements were Godofredo Pepey and The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 winner Glaico Franca, respectively.

First impression of the match-ups:
• Cyborg > Lansberg
• Barao > Nover
• Nelson > Bigfoot
• Trinaldo > Felder
• Santos > Spicely
• Pepey > Torre
• Burns > Prazeres
• Yahya vs. Tanaka (dunno. Toughest fight to predict on this card)
• Formiga > Ortiz
• Silva vs. Chagas (dunno)
• Ray > Patrick
• Luque > Urbina
• Gillespie > Franca
squash matches all around, lol. What a shitty card. Trinaldo and Felder is the only fight that I find interesting.
Also, is there some commission that regulates this fucking fights. How Bigfoot is allowed to continue fighting, I'll never know. Feel like Roy as much as he sucks this days is free money here.

Interesting that her nutritionist has her taking birth control pills to help cut the weight.

The fights I think look decent on paper:
Trinaldo vs. Felder
Yahya vs. Tanaka
Formiga vs. Ortiz
Silva vs. Chagas (someone will get finished in a violent way)
Patrick vs. Ray (step up for Ray in competition, and Patrick can keep the fight close)
Anyway, none of these fights look good on paper, just a few decent fights that I'm interested in watching.

What happens to Cyborg bets, if she s found using banned supplements
The same thing that happens to bets on other fighters who are found using banned supplements.
I mean .... the same thing you said but as a question, gave her as an example. Considering the bets are paid after the fight, but the supplement are only found days after I'm guessing ppl keep their money?

Of course people keep their $$. I'm still waiting for my Hunt $$ refund vs Brock if there ever was such a case
I was never a fan of Cyborg, but I don't understand why the UFC doesn't just make 145 lb fights (esp since they're just making arbitrary no division 140 lb fights) for her if not a mini division. Interest in women's MMA is solid enough now and it's pretty clear that she wasn't exaggerating when she said she couldn't make 135 for Ronda
Felder does suck. Best case for a guy passing the eye test with flying colors yet with a gap from that eye test to actual skill. Might still have to be on Felder here though. If Trinaldo fades like he did in his last fight, Felder's tough enough to last and possibly finish late
btw if you guys are not watching TUF, you should, skip all the reality bullshit up to the fights if you dont like it like i usually do, but all fighs have been super interesting
this season they've taken 16 flyweight champions in different promotions on the planet and the winner gets to fight Mighty Mouse, almost all of them are really good
Ariel Helwani reported that Chris has to lose 4.5kg to make weight tomorrow... damn

Is it just be or Nelson is a horrible match up for Bigfoot? I struggle to see any outs for Bigfoot here.

Most people think Roy Nelson is one of the locks of the card. He could easily just go out there and land 1 punch and finish Bigfoot real quick (he does it to most people and Bigfoot's chin is bad), but I have a feeling Roy won't finish Bigfoot in R1.

So what's the deal with Dom Cruz? Hes the new Rogan or Stan?
He looks better, speaks better, and knows way more about MMA than both Rogan and Stann.
But does he officially have Rogan's job? or its Stan's job?
Rogan never does Fox Sports 1 cards, he only does PPV cards and FOX cards.
With his new contract, Rogan will only do PPV cards in USA and maybe Canada. He doesn't want travel outside of USA to commentate UFC anymore, cuz it wastes a lot of time he could spend with his family.
He is like the most dissapointing fighter right next to Hall, he is had so much potential.
He showed much better cardio this time and what a beautiful choke, sadly he developed cardio 5 years too late to go anywhere in the division

I like both Cruz and Stann far and away better than any other fighter turned commentator. Cruz definitely is the best but I think there's room for Stann too. I would also like it if they replaced Mike Goldberg with Jon Anik. But I guess there's a reason why Rohan/Goldberg is still the go to for mainstream / PPV cards

Goldberg is shit I am surprised he has longed this last, Rogan is pretty good imo but he has mentioned more than once wanting to retire, he has been doing this for a long long time.

Bigfoot looked good back on the juice. Too bad he left himself wide open for that uppercut, cuz he probably could've won a robbery decision in Brazil.

if the fight went on the way it was going, then you could call it a true robbery because rounds were going crystal clear in roy's favor

Cris Cyborg, WMMA's version of Fedor Emelianenko.

Did you ever see his weight cut? He is definitely not fit for BW. He looks like he's going to die trying to make weight and has passed out trying to make weight and had to be removed from the fight before. According to their coach Aldo and Barao are only a couple pounds apart back when Barao was fighting at BW, so I don't think its a weight thing.

I agree though I'm worried UFC will use it as a reason to fire him.

Yea I remember that. I meant more like he seems undersized in featherweight. Last night not so much, but he looked "fat" or bulky while his opponent looked ripped. He probably isn't as good as we thought before. He ate a lot of jabs last night especially during the 1st round. I dunno if that is a slow reaction thing or maybe distance measuring problem. He got better during the fight eventually but the fight was kinda way too close imo for some fight involving a "monster" ('supposed to be a monster' like Nover's coach said) and a regular fighter who isn't even ranked. I just took a look and Barao isn't ranked too but he obv carries a lot of expectations.
Also took a look at the LHW ranking and damn. Once this was the most exciting division in the sport and now it's basically limited to 3 guys: jones, cormier and johnson.

Yea I never really bought into his hype that much. He's only really beat 4 quality opponents. Faber, MacDonald, Wineland & Pickett. Even then MacDonald and Wineland were giving him some decent trouble.
Also its a big adjustment from going from the biggest fighter in the division to an average sized fighter. I think McGregor will face similar problems if he decides to stay at LW.

Roy getting cut might be a good thing. Don't get me wrong I enjoy watching most of his fights but its scary how much punishment hes taken to the head. These days all he's good for is being a punching bag for decent fighters or KOing the old out of prime corpses of prior legends. Maybe a step down in competition will save him from being a mouth drooler by his 40s.
