I don't think it's fair to say JDS has a weak chin yet. He's only really been knocked out once, by a shot that knocks out just about anyone in the world.

That said he's taken so much damage I wouldn't be surprised if that shot it was what cracks it.

yeah its not Overeem bad but he will go down fast if Rothwell connects, I wouldn't touch this line.

Rothwell will be at least +100 between now and fight-day. The only play I'd recommend -- as would most people -- is Rothwell at plus odds, or pass.

Aside from the ME, the fight I'm most looking forward to is Nicolas Dalby vs. Zak Cummings. Cummings is underrated by most, but he's a well-rounded fighter. It should be a close fight that goes to a decision since neither guy will KO the other guy, and Cummings most likely won't get Dalby to the mat to submit him. Dalby's distance striking and movement should be the difference here.

Do you notice you tend to follow anyone at all in the media in particular in terms of opinionated stuff? I read a lot of mma headlines because usually I have no life but I've learned to just subconsciously block out almost all subjective garbage that's generally written on the major sites as I sift through the headlines. When they actually do real journalism work and go interview fighters at their camp or something, it's cool...but somehow pretty rare. I generally like Ben Fowlkes on mmajunkie. He tries hard to be funny though so maybe not everyone's cup o tea

Since the end of last year when I blew those Cruz/Dillashaw and Pettis/Alvarez fights I've really disengaged, thank god.... but I've always thought Jordan Breen at Sherdog was the best, with Ben Fowlkes as a #2 for more light-hearted stuff, whereas Patrick Wyman who used to work for Sherdog and now works for USA Today/Bleacher Report writes by the best prediction articles... he's the only guy in the MMA Media in my opinion who actually gets the dynamics enough to make picks and points legit enough to factor into decision making.

Who in 2011 would've thought that rothwell would be a favorite against jds if they ever fought. velasquez's single handedly ruined jds's career.

im a regular at nl5

Maybe underrating Dalby again (really liked Till against him) but Cummings is the only one on the card I'm sure I'm betting on. Speaking of well rounded, Dalby really is too but I just don't see him as really great at any one thing to make any sort of legit title run. Even his strength of distance striking like you say isn't exceptional and his power while good...same thing. Guess it doesn't mean he'll lose often to the Cummings' of the world but also like you said, Cummings is underrated...and even if his last opponent wasn't very good, definitely looked like he can show another level. He's using his bit longer than average frame a bit better too

- Oh wait oops also definitely on Lewis. But who really ever knows with a couple of mid-tier heavyweights

The draftkings salary allotments are quite interesting.

The Lewis-Gonzaga and Dalby-Cummings allotments yea?

The suckers will be the people who spend all their money on their DraftKings team(s) for this event. I expect the winner will be a team that has $700 or more left over.

Ya I don't think I'm giving anything away in saying that Lewis is a major value but of course it's a mindfuck because gonzaga could easily get a finish as well and then your probably getting double value by going against all the smart players/the field. But then double mindfuck because a lot of people probably have the same logic and have teams with both.

Or there's the line of thinking that everyone will have 1 of the 2 so you can beat the field by playing neither and hope that it's a sloppy slow low out point boring decision fest. Who knows.

Probably best long run strategy to go just go with the best value, not overthink it like I'm doing right now, and have an edge on the fish who pick gonzaga and hope to beat the smart people somewhere else.

Alessio Di Chirico vs Bojan Velickovic is actually a decent fight. Watched a little tape and both have a chance to make a little noise IMO. Both guys are well-rounded with good gas tanks. I'll be keeping an eye on that fight. Pundits are picking Velickovic, he's favored, but I liked what I saw out of Chirico too.

Doubt any1 really cares but Pacquaio-Bradley 3 is about to be on. I wouldn't have cared or try to catch it either even tho I used to never miss a Manny fight except I feel like there's value on Bradley by decision +270. It would be a fairly major travesty for history to read Bradley 2 to Pacquaio 1 considering the robbery of a first fight but I mean, the sport of boxing in its current state has unfortunately become predominantly a travesty anyways so w/e. Go Timmay

So much for that 'value'. Ty to my natural bias in making this a mini bet. Rd 10 now and Bradley has had maybe two good moments while Manny looks back to being pretty explosive. Either fighting Floyd under boxing rules is like trying to hit an alien shadow or that shoulder injury of Manny's was very real

I watched it.

Manny looked great, considering how he looked in his two previous fights.

Sucks for Bradley.

It starts at 7:30am on the west coast, and I'll be up to watch it... ...while I attempt to write a 5-page essay for class that's due the next day.
