NBA Betting Thread

probably tired after the first game with a short injured lineup. I really wanted to bet Portland that game simply because of that at 1.72. Because Pelicans had to play shorthanded then travel and play shorthanded again.

I just feel cheated for information in NBA betting, I see a "good" line and bet it, then a lot of times some unlisted very important injury or unlisted return like Chris Paul or Jrue Holiday+Omar Asik takes place and it turns into a bad bet. I feel like the bookies have access to all this information, and I don't know the solution. I use http://www.rotoworld.com/teams/injuries/nba/all/ and a few others for injuries, but a lot of times its listed as gametime, while I feel that insiders have a much better access to the information. =

I'm still at 5.1% ROI since the start of the season, but its hard to make good decisions when you're behind on information like that. Will see at the end of the season.

sometimes if you follow team beat writers on Twitter they get that info out 5-10 mins earlier than bulk aggregators like rotoworld or basketball monster.

CP3 info came out well before gametime tonight. obviously that part doesn't help if you bet before it came out.

but his groin injury was a known factor and if you look at the line movement today it's hard to come up with any other factor that would move the line so much toward Phoenix, Reddick was already factored in and probably wouldn't move the line that much anyway (obviously easy for me to say in retrospect).

not being critical just offering a perspective. the way it effects me isn't quite the same since i play DFS. probably doesn't matter if you bet the opening line, but the way you talked about checking rotoworld and info coming out late i assume that wasn't the case.

It was actually the lakers scoring the basket which is quite more common, i just checked because its super unusual for a team with that big of a lead to score there.

I think its higher now, as Cavaliers don't look too exciting. But still I think Spurs are more geared towards beating them in the postseason.

I would disagree.

Although I do think the Spurs still would pose a major threat, imo OKC presents GSW the toughest test of any other team in the league. They have 2 of the top 5 players in the league on their team and their team as a whole is able to matchup much better than the Spurs can, when GSW go to the Death Lineup (Draymond at 5).

I also just don't see any team in the East challenging GSW, OKC, SAS in a 7 game series at this point.
