Dariush is a class act, pretty much admitting he lost without outright admitting it. I like the guy.

Seriously tho, there is one thing i don't understand.
During the fights, i often talk with ricain, and i would say 95% of the time we agree on how to score rounds. The 5% is when we both are like "hmmm idk".
And i think your average hardcore man would also agree with us 95% of the time on those clear rounds.
Why is it judges do such bad decisions this often??? My GF could judge those fights better than the judges, and they're supposed to be professionnals.
Something needs to be done about this.
I mean, it also happens a lot that the final decision is correct, but one of the 3 judges do something really dumb. this has to stop.

It's government bureaucracy. These are officials that are part of a 'commission' that is not elected, but simply appointed by government officials who have no idea about what MMA even stands for. In most cases, they are people that are in someway related to, friends with, favors for, government officials. There is no competition to figure out who is actually a good judge, no annual review, no accountability to anyone or anything, so therefore never any improvement. Been the same problem in boxing for 70 years.
This is how things tend to work in government, without profit motive or accountability to actually be good at your job.
Pretty sad.
If the organizations were allowed to hire their own 3rd party judges who could compete to get to the big show based on their actual judging resume's, things would get a lot better, even if a bunch of conspiracy theorists would be quick to cry corruption every time a guy like Conor McGregor got a decision.
The real fact is it would be in the UFC's best business interest to get good judges who got things right.

And on another note, in case anyone is trying to beat the line and make a very good bet.... some lines are open for the next card (2 weeks). I've made my single biggest individual bet of the year already on Max Holloway at -180.
The line will close wider for sure so I'd get the money in now if you care.
I also like Rick Story at -125 over Eric Silva.

I wish UFC had his own judges as you said....
I also sometimes thought the public should vote, but that doesn't work because people will be too biased (they will vote for their country man, or for who they bet for).
But the point is, if my GF who knows nothing about the UFC can judge a fight better than them, something is wrong.

UFC having its own judges is dangerous, conflict of interests etc, a separated entity is idea but obv not the government since they are crap at running anything.
and public voting would be absolutely ridiculous come on...
And yeah judging is plain wrong and soberstone explained you why.
