First impression of the match-ups:
• Edgar > Swanson (I want Swanson to win, but if I have to place money on the fight, I'd pick Edgar by decision and Swanson ITD. Edgar throws double Swanson's volume, but Swanson is the only one with power here, as well as a submission game. Swanson has ways to win, but if he doesn't land multiple hard shots in the first two rounds to slow Edgar down, he'll end up losing on the cards. It might even be worth betting a couple bucks on Edgar to win in round 4 and 5.)
• Barboza > Green (Green has the better jabs and pressure with basic punches, but the power, speed, and leg kicks go to Barboza. Green likes to fight on the outside, which is where Barboza loves to fight, cuz it allows him to use leg kicks, which are the 2nd best in the UFC right behind Jose Aldo. The issue here is with Barboza's chin; it's weak. Green isn't a power puncher by any means, but a jab from Cerrone was able to drop Barboza and then cost him the fight due to a RnC.)
• Pickett > Camus (Do or die for Pickett. Pickett has the better striking, power, wrestling, speed, and chin. Camus has better submissions, but not by a lot. This is Camus' first fight at Flyweight, which means he'll have to deal with adjusting to everything. Additionally, Camus' movement wasn't super fast at Bantamweight, which sucks for him cuz he had no choice but to move down to Flyweight due to his size.)
• Rosholt vs. Oliynyk (Gun to the head, I'd say Rosholt, but he's not a great fighter. Rosholt has his wrestling while Oli has his submissions. Both aren't great on the feet.)
• Benavidez > Ortiz
• Wiman > Flagg
• Magomedov > Copeland
• Barnatt > Narvaez
• Vick > Hein
• Edwards > Arreola (I wouldn't bet it, except to go over the total. Edwards is the better fighter, but his cardio has diminished over the years and his chin keeps getting tested lately. Arreola isn't good, but he is like a Mexican zombie that keeps coming forward and can withstand the power of Edwards. Edwards can only win by decision and submission, and he won't want to fight on the ground cuz that's where Arreola is best at (stat wise), so a decision makes the most sense for Edwards.)
• VanZant vs. Curran (dunno)
• Puig vs. Choi (dunno)
I was thinking betting on Barboza (-120) but I better not touch that fight.

Two of my favorite fighters. Shame they gotta fight. Cub's got a brutal road to a title shot.
Think Frankie wins here. Assuming he uses his wrestling as much as he should.
Gotta go with my boy Bobby Green. Yet again a weird match up. Bobbys coming off defeating #5 Josh Thomson... and he fights Barboza? And Cerrone is fighting Miles Jury? Wut?
Actually a pretty tough match up for Bobby, but I think he can pull out the win. Especially if he mixes in some wrestling to keep Barboza off balance.

I'm guessing Swanson gets the title shot if he wins, but does Edgar get it if he does, didn't Edgar lose vs Aldo 2-3 title matches ago
Overall pretty decent card. Love that its all in the lower weight divisions, except that 1 heavyweight fight
edit: nvm i just saw the promo, its stupid to give Edgar another basically instant chance considering he lost like 5-0 or 4-1
Actually why are they not giving the title shot to McGregor, he s the only one that stands a chance against Aldo at this point :/

Swanson said he was told he gets the next title shot if he wins. McGregor said yesterday in the UFC press conference that he wants Swanson to beat Edgar, just so he can bake a pie for Swanson and slap him in the face with it, then laugh at him when he sees McGregor getting the next title shot instead.
As for Frankie, there's no way he'll get the next title shot if he beats Swanson.

Bobby Green makes a post on Facebook about retirement: + Show Spoiler +
WTF he is near of a tittle shot and unbeaten in UFC and he is thinking about retirement. That is weird
I place my bets
Only Cub Swanson and Benavidez.

There's 3 guys ahead of Bobby Green in the title hunt: Nurmagomedov, RDA, and Cerrone. Cerrone is fighting the unbeaten prospect in Myles Jury in his next match, and Jury would get the title shot before Green, imo. Also, Melendez still needs to fight his scheduled match for the title, so even if Green keeps winning, he wouldn't fight for the title until late 2016 at the earliest, especially since the champion keeps getting injured.
I'm not sure why Green made that post though.

Kind of crazy considering Green is 4-0 in the UFC, and just beat top 5 Josh Thomson. I'd take Josh over Cerrone all day every day and him and RDA are close. People are forgetting how good Josh is. He absolutely should of won that Ben Henderson fight, absolutely mauled Nate Diaz, and had a super close fight with Gil that a lot of people felt he won too.
Cerrone vs Jury and Green vs Barboza is mindbogglingly stupid.
Should be Cerrone vs Green. No idea what the UFC is doing. Cerrone and Green even have a ton of beef they could use. Instead both are fighting guys outside the top 10.
And while Jury is technically undefeated, al iaquinta beat him on TUF.

I can't believe Rosholt, isn't a massive favorite over Olesksy. Rosholt is not well rounded, but no-one aside from the top-tier HW's are going to be able to stop his wrestling at all, and I doubt he gets subbed from on top. Olesksy's wierd power submissions aren't gonna work at all here. Amazing value on Rosholt, gonna destory Oleksy unless he gets caught with a big strike early - which is highly possible, but def not in the +170 range. Ofcourse this is all just opinion (I don't even know why I feel the need to say that) - but I would put the bank on Rosholt to wrestle-fuck and gas this old man out 9 times out 10.
Edgar > Swanson - Weird feeling Swanson gets a SD robbery here though, wouldn't bet on it.
Green > Barboza - Definitely wouldn't bet on it and it's almost a straight pickem just like the odds, but if Green fights with forward pressure he has the perfect style and boxing game to stifle Barboza's kicking game. If he does what Rican said and fights on the outside, it's all Edson. This is an outstanding fight that 100 percent is just a striking clinic from both guys. If it ends early, it'll probably Barboza KOing (despite his chin) Green, but if it goes deeper I like Green's style to get the decision.
Picket > Camus - Both tough guys, Picket via being better all around but no value on the line here IMO since he's not that much better at any single thing and we know how MMA is with guys being off and on.
Rosholt > Olynik - This is the one to bet on IMO, see my above rant.
Joe B > Dustin - Line is too wide, wouldn't touch, Joe B is better everywhere but the gap is smaller in scrambles which is exactly what this fight will probably be a lot of, hence the not betting on it
Wiman > Flagg - Wouldn't touch Wiman, hasn't fought in a long time, Flagg sucks but I think the game has probably passed both these guys by
Mag > Copeland
Barnett > Navarez - I actually liked what I saw out of Navarez on a short notice fight at LHW against an elite wrestler in Cummins, but I think Barnett is pretty good and is a decent prospect to eventually maybe crack the top 15 at his peak
Vick v Hein - Dunno, Vick is enormous and tough to deal with but isn't good, don't remember Hein's fights
Edwards v Arreola - Dunno
Vanzant v Curran - Dunno
Choi > Puig - Going purely off hype, wouldn't bet on it but supposedly Choi is the best pure prospect out of South Korea right now and is going to mop Puig.

4-0, yes. However, you have to put things into perspective.
His fight against Volkman was legit; Volkman tried to wrestle him into a submission and ended up gassing, but this is Green's best UFC win, imo.
The Krause fight doesn't even count in my mind. Green was winning the striking battle, but by no means do I think the stoppage was justified. I do think Green would beat Krause in a rematch though, cuz Green is the better striker and has better wrestling; Krause has better BJJ.
Against Healy, he did what everyone expected him to do, which was move side to side and easily beat up Healy with his superior boxing, foot speed, and hand speed.
Versus Thompson, the fight was a joke. Yeah, Thompson was a high ranked opponent, but everyone saw them basically spar and talk to each other during the fight, which Dana White was pissed about during the post fight press conference. I made some nice money off of Green via live betting.
As for Thompson vs. Henderson, I don't think Thompson won, mainly because his hand prevented him from doing damage and locking in submissions. If Thompson's hand wasn't broken, he would've won that fight for sure. However, his problem has always been him playing to the crowd and not being as aggressive as he should be, as we saw in the Melendez fights.

Agree with you, I think Cub can win here even by decision. I feel this match will be a very close fight, I bet on him at +180 which is Ev+ IMO. And Benavidez is also Ev+, he can only lose in this division against Demetrious and maybe Dodson.

I fully expect Joe B to win but Ortiz is a fucking top-tier wrestler/scrambler and I hate betting against those types as huge dogs. As long as Joe fights smart he should win. I would be extremely impressed, but not surprised, if he gets the finish.
