After beefing for years, Doug 'WCGRider" Polk and Daniel Negreanu are squaring off at $200/$400 on WSOP.com for at least 25,000 hands. The challenge has been going on for quite some time already and we are seeing more and more interest in, especially that Polk recently started streaming while showing some of his holecards.

The challenge began with a live session on November 4th. The remainder of the challenge is being played online and streamed live on Doug's YouTube channel.

In short, here are the main terms of entire challenge:

    2 tables of $200/$400 No Limit Hold’em
    25,000 hands
The player behind after 12,500 hands may quit the match at that point

First 16 sessions are over, and in the latest one Polk finished with 160.348$ profit after just 824 hands. Polk commented:
"Good session today. Lots of nice pots. We were an OESD in a 3BP vs KK away from booking a massive win. But any 4 buyin win is still a great session. Looking forward to W/T/F sessions!"

Current overall score is ~$674,000 in green for Doug Polk over 7921 Hands. After the half-mark milestone is reached of 12.500 hands played out, losing player can back out of the challenge if he wants to.

Next matches are scheduled to happen this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
You can watch it live on [link=https://www.youtube.com/dougpolkpoker] Youtube channel of Doug Polk.[/link]

Meanwhile, here is a video recap of 16th session:

So this hand in particular drew a lot of criticism. What is DN's thought process here on table 2?

Doug talked about this hand in the post game interview. He wanted to fold out thin value raises over his block bet. It'd be hard to have a bluff here. Dnegs calls to see what Doug is bluffing with because he's likely not to get anymore action.

Biggest winner is the poker site.

They're making 2.5 every postflop hand. 10k hands is 25,000 to run a game software. Insane imo.

To be fair they have security and software developer expenses but still.

If dnegs wants to just see polk's hand couldnt the reverse also hold true? Maybe polk just wants to show off on stream with an epic hero call? Maybe he misclicks like he's done every session so far?

Many, many more costs to run a poker room. Overall starting a poker room nowdays from scratch is around 10mln-15mln$ absolute min. And that's not talking top tier soft.

Kd isn't the nuts, the pay seems standard, Doug isn't 3 betting anything for value under Kd after Daniel raises river.
