PokerStars SCOOP posts largest ever guarantee for online poker series at $75 million, stars today

A whopping $75 million is up for grabs during the 15 days of the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) from May 12 to 27.

As part of the record-breaking series guarantee, there will be at least one $1 million+ guaranteed tournament running every day of the series. Poker players will have 67 events and 201 tournaments across low, medium and high buy-in levels to choose from.

On May 26 alone $11.5 million will be guaranteed across three Main Events, with buy-ins at $109, $1,050 and $10,300 guaranteeing $2.5 million, $4 million and $5 million respectively.

“The record $75 million guaranteed for SCOOP alone and $115 million in total tournament guarantees across the same 15-day period on PokerStars.com is designed to excite existing players and attract new players. Phase events start in just four days’ time at the following buy-in levels:

Monday, April 15: $2,20 with $250,000 guaranteed
Monday, April 15: $22 with $1 million guaranteed
Sunday, April 21: $215 with $2 million guaranteed

SCOOP is a fixture on the calendar of seasoned poker players but, as in recent years, there will be ways for newer players to try their hand at a big series while still being able to play at a manageable level. Low-tier event buy-ins start at $2.20 and players can satellite in to series events from just $0.11. Satellites start on April 15.

Players can also look out for varied and fun ways to secure SCOOP tickets, including a SCOOP Spin of the Day, where players can win entries into freerolls that will award SCOOP tickets. Special Spin & Go’s run from Monday until May 27 at three buy-in levels - $2, $22 and $215 - and award a variety of SCOOP tickets including Main Event High tickets worth $10,300.

Players can also warm up for SCOOP with the $215 Sunday Million 13th Anniversary, which takes place Sunday April 14 at 13:00 ET with $10 million guaranteed, including $1 million reserved for the winner.
