Doug “WCGRider” Polk is currently doing his "$100 to $10,000 bankroll challenge" that is supposed to prove that even during the times where poker is considered to be in a bad shape for regular players, it's still possible to leave the American poker dream.

The challenge wasn't going as smooth as he expected though, which already shows some truth. After few terrible sessions last week he dropped to just $45 in his account at one point, but managed to climb back to $178 and now he tripled his bankroll, ending his 10 hour session at +$551.

He started off in a $0.05/$0.10 cash game but dropped few buy-ins pretty quickly. He managed to climb back after winning two tournaments during the second half of the mentioned session.
The first, a $3 buy-in with rebuys and add-ons had only 42 entries but the $89 first place boosted WCGRiders bankroll to around $300 at the time. He started the heads-up as solid chip leader, however in the final hand he got a bit of help when is Ace-queen hit an ace versus pocket queens.
Second win was in a 162 player $3 buy-in $800 GTD tournament, which resulted in $313 boost to his bankroll, meaning that he will be going into week 3 of his challenge with 5.5 times his initial buy-in.

Not bad. Reminds me of the time it took me 3 months to grind $5 to $3000 in highschool. Still not bad pay for a hobby if you can make it. 500% investment in 3 weeks is solid.

you are talking gibberish

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

Honestly this is a few days old. He lost like 350 yesterday and is back to around 140. RIP the dream ?

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance, by running away from the scene of an accident.
