The rise of the Twitch.TV for poker entertainment continues: starting today, for three days, a special invite-only No-limit hold'em cash game will be filmed at ARIA casino and streamed live on Twitch.TV. The game is a Super High Roller 8-handed with $400/$800/$200 stakes and a buy-in of minimum $250,000 (no maximum set).

The game will run from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Vegas time and will be broadcast live on Twitch.tv for all the interested player. Look for the Poker Central Twitch channel.

"Twitch.TV is a natural fit for Poker Central," said Poker Central CEO Clint Stinchcomb. "The poker category is exploding on Twitch, it's watched by our core demographic — 18 to 36 males — and it is a compelling and unique way to launch a TV channel that's groundbreaking in the way it will launch and air."

There is still no information on who is going to participate in the cash game and only one name (Antonio Esfandiari) is 100% confirmed. Amongst the rumoured to play are Ben Lamb and Phil Hellmuth.

"I'm excited to play," Esfandiari commented, "High Stakes Poker was, I think, the most popular poker TV shows in the history of poker TV shows, and in a way this feels like HSP. It's a televised cash game with decent sized blinds and an ante, and so I think there should be a lot of action. Given that, I'm pretty excited to play, but I'm also pretty excited for poker, to sort of bring back the big TV cash game."

Might be worth watching if they have the right lineup.

I'll be waiting for them to release the full list of players.

shout out to Doyle Brunson for making history

I don't mean because he got really famous for setting records, I mean for literally creating history

wtf @ jennifer tilly playing with 400k stack?

Has she even remotely learned how to play?

the 3hrs or so i watched. Pretty much every pot was a battle between JRB tilly and esfandiari. Ivey picked his spots to cold 4 and won a bunch of small med pots. Chan was the sickest nit who would mash pot in the 3 or so hands he played.

Wow sick 5bet pot between Colman and Seiver. Colman 5better, cbets like K92, x/c 3 turn, x/f 8 river to seivers allin. Pot was like 800k

traxamillion   United States. Jul 01 2015 08:24. Posts 10468

That hand was sick; was considering some chance Siever was knocking him off a chop but I think he was either bluffing or nutted. For him to bluff he had to be 4betting light pre and calling a 5bet light which i feel is unlikely but for some reason I still feel like he was bluffing lol. If he was straight bluffing though in a 1million pot how does he not show?

traxamillion   United States. Jul 01 2015 09:06. Posts 10468

I think Scott bluffed out with KQ honestly. Would explain pre somewhat and flop. given the action Pre he knows Colman can never have a set so this board 100% caps him to AA (thought colman had AA on flop and predicted a 35k cbet) or KK and he blocks the nuts (kk). He figures he folds always I think (said as much actually snidely). Will be fun to see in october

wow JRB gets in sick lineups. Anyone else seeing this?

these are the big aria regular lineups that JRB puts together as host (That some think actually make him the winningest player in the world)

there are some other winners in here too like solomon

2 of the businessmen in for one million

JRB
steve Perkins
rick solomon
bobby baldwin
(bonghog) morgan (just called solomons king high river bluff with k8 for 20 racks on 82QJ3. not bad)
brandon steven
Decarolis

I'm drooling over this shit, didn't even know it got this good. Must be nice to be JRB

rofl Rick solomon playing every pot rolling.

although some donk decarolis accidentally valuetowned him 10k into 10k on the river on A101086 with 55 or something like that (if it was intentional nh but prolly too thin)

rofl JRB raises 3k gets flatted out of the blinds pre. Q103 rainbow no cbet jrb checks back. turn K, JRB bets turn when klein checks and klein calls. river pairs the Q and they both check. Klein takes it down with J5 for the high card. JRB must have had 78 or some shit and played it like a bitch nit lol

no 3betting. opposite of last night with Colman, Tricket, Robl, Siever, Newey,

Solomon flatting his sb HU vs EP opens with 95s (probably profitably at this table :/ )

double straddles now 400/800/1600/3200

Judging from the way JRB was talking during Day 1, I get the vibes that he is in fact playing a huge part in determining who gets to play what days and who doesn't

He made a somewhat snide comment to one of the better younger players (can't remember who it was) on Day 1. He said something along the lines of give more action and play faster or you won't get an invite back - and then he started laughing it off as if it was a joke (but I don't think it was)

Having played with him in tournaments before and from watching him on TV, JRB is a grade A doucher

JRB is the big game host at ARIA. He plays a huge part. He is the gatekeeper. Probably straight up sells access

painful perkins goes 10k turn 20k river there with the 107 straight. He can easily go 10k 40k (near pot) and get called by the exact same range

decent river vbet from JRB on AJ2Ax with 88

traxamillion   United States. Jul 02 2015 00:16. Posts 10468

bellande overplays top2 when donk reps a flush on 73AJddd multiways to the flop and gets stacked by k10dd. fish bets 40k into 60k and bellande crams. I think call/fold would have been better. Maybe he thought he was getting value vs AQ and to a lesser extent AK but nah

traxamillion   United States. Jul 02 2015 00:43. Posts 10468

Robl's Q5dd hand was absolutely ridiculous; 50k 4bet haha. lol kirk. My respect went up for robl there though going with his gut and jamming the air knowing kirk didn't have shit even though his turn shove obviously made no sense (All Ax calls to river in position)

(This is all from the Day 2 highlight video)

lol sickest check back with AQ in a 3bet pot on Q10225 no fd after betting flop and perkins flats the set. he checks back twice with tptk vs the set. bad but sick that it worked out.

He said what worse calls on the flop as his justification (KQ) which is valid vs the worst nits i guess but WTF not Perkins

this game is now playing much bigger than yesterday's. JRB gets more money out of them inducing all this straddle play. everything is at least straddled 400/800/2400 if not more so they are basically playing 100bb deep instead of ridic deep now

traxamillion   United States. Jul 02 2015 03:21. Posts 10468

JRB makes another bad play and loses another huge pot. He goes for the 3rd barrel on a terrible river where he reps nothing. A9xx10 with the 10s river bringing in the flush. JRB is pretty much valuebetting no aces here he is always c/decide this river not jamming. Given pre he has very few flushes. That river is just so much better for Perkins this is always a bluff from JRB and a bad one at that. Perkins calls down with A5 (further discounting a good aces from JRB's range. He has a few AK that might 3ball to valuetown a worse ace and one top set combo. Few flushes. Shit ton of bluff. Extremely unbalanced 3balling here)

Santafairy   Korea (South). Jul 02 2015 04:57. Posts 2226

that's Bill Perkins? I remember him from a show back then, thought he was like a one-time fish, I didn't know he stuck around, it's surprising that some of these guys did stick around like Olivier Busquet

500k effective, straddled to 2400

Solomon opens to 6k, 2 call, Morgan 3bets to 15k, Solomon 4bets to 41k, Morgan snap all in.

Solomon folds KK face up. morgan shows AA

Antonio makes another bad bluff trying to rep that he smashed 789ddd in a 4bet pot.

I thought Klein had an overpair and was calling down the bluff. Was surprised to see J8, although antonio has obviously polarized himself to the point the hands are the same (unless he flatted the 4 with AA).

Just the worst runout for him to fire on...

Gretorp is a big name in the starcraft community.

Antonio just 3 barreled in position, 4bet pot, with K high on 9d8d7d93 against old amateur who x/c all 3 with J8. Like 450k pot
