yea terran i think it's generally a lot better to bet like 1-4-1/3 pot with your whole range in spots like this

No his 4bet sux.
they are 180bb deep , he's OOP
bet 20 mini , bet 1/2 pot max on flop

(his 4bet would be standard if they were 100bb deep)

I'm not really worried at all about balance vs these random guys, and I was like "how can I Get the most fold equity". I'm thinking a normal 1/2 pot or what not would look stronger and save me money tho.. brain fart I guess?

I will try making a big bet like this next time I hold a Q or better tho

o_o;;
gotta plan the hand, stacksizes, opponent tendencies, sometimes balance

yeah i know 9 times out of 10 the best train of thought is not to worry about balance at the 50nl but i think this is a spot where it's pretty relevant/standard, just my opinion (also think betting 1/3 or even less is better than 1/2pot, again just imo).

Uuuups sorry , I read 230 but it was vilain in seat 2.
Well pre is standard then but flop bet 1/2 or 1/3 pot (and play all your 4 bet like that )
it look as scary as your bet , maybe more , and it saves you money when you've got AK

If you bet//call you are fucked, If you check//call you are fucked far less often.

i don't think you gain much fold equity with a big flop bet like that. I'd like 1/4-1/2 pot size the flop.

I see nothing wrong with check/folding a Q high board since it's one of the worst flops for our hand and a Q doesn't hit hands in our range that often so villain can stack off w 88-JJ hands like he did here. IF we were planning on jamming any flop with these stack sizes i'd just make it 18 or so pre and just open shove the flop for max fold equity.
