i normally bet pot/snapcall flops like this vs shortstackers like that. hows this line particularly better?

I mean, being non-result oriented, is it really a good call ?
(didn't make the maths here, it's why I ask)

he has a lot invested ;o the guy(50bb) prolly has draw or Qx and maybe even Jx =] so he has gutshot + at least 1 overcard ._ .

then she ask me my qualities n bad qualities. so i tell her truth and she kinda laugh at me lol. then i ask her for hers and she gtg. i think it going ok. -FloofyLast edit: 20/04/2009 19:31

He is more inclined to bluff a half-pot, plus when people usually put some fancy
bet size, they do want people to fold. So, imo, you'll induce more raise bluff with
this betsize than with a pot, that will probably polarize his range of raise to stronger
draws/made hands rather than pure bluff. I don't play that high, so can't really comment
for this play, but that sounds ok.

What I'm asking is: what is the proportion of made hands/draws/bluffs he has so that
we have enough equity with the call.
Btw, if I read the HH well vilain is 50bb deep, which is *NOT* shortstack.

If 50bb is shortstack I'm guessing 100bb is half stack and 200bb is full stack?

stay sharp.

50bb would be medium stack, either way I'm calling thinking I'm good a decent amount of the time, and if not, I most likely have several outs, more than a gutshot

Im not sure what to do tomorrow when I see her, should I shake her hand?? -Floofy

just check the calculation, on this flop he has approximately 6% 2p+,20% OESD,35%-ish FD and the rest is pair/air, so
it's a no-brainer, this is a very +ev call, even for 150bb deep actually !
Do you agree with my logic for your bet-size ?

Edit: forget to mention we have like 40-45% against his made-hands
range, making it a no-brainer.
