he did this all the time without getting to a showdown
1$ preflop raise ... 3 bet call then check flop and shove or raise turn...
i thought i must find out what that means and i have a hand 
i didnt bet flop since i was not sure if he plays a monster that way ...

hmm. this seems like a really bad flop to offer a free card on
just bet big and he's gona shove any draw/worse pair anyways
