if he made that kind of call on the river i assume that player is very agg. so probably cont. beting would back fire

yeah but.. he has a chance to take it down right there?, if he only bets when he hits isnt that a bit obvious?
do you only check sometimes so people respect you more when you do contbet?

its not a rule to cont-bet, its situational, you dont want to cont bet into a crazy laggy maniac, you do it against someone you know will fold.

not a good situation for a cont. bet.
1) there are 2 players and i am in the middle
2) the flop is draw-likely
3) the player before me is very aggressive
