First raise is good to narrow field, perhaps win the pot now, at least increase the strength of your outs, but you should raise more. There's 1.25 + the 0.25 you need to call in the pot, so make it 0.25+1.5 = 1.75 when you raise the flop. If he minreraises like he did here, you can flat call to represent a weak ace and probably induce him to give you more money when your draw hits, and if you do then you'll most likely be able to check/fold the turn without improving since the pot is still pretty small. Or you can just push and gamble if he minreraises.

But remember to try not to fight so hard for unraised pots. Raising once is probably best on this flop because your FD is low, but you might not want to come back over the top if you get reraised, just because you have no reason yet to fight so hard for a pot that you're at best 53% to win, possibly worse.
