villain was a reg who had been getting out of line pre

is c/jam turn ok? or should I just c/c? I thought there was a chance I could get him to fold some semi bluffs that he barrels turn..

all his value range calls but sounds like he could be so wide that this is good regardless esp after picking up another 3 outs on turn. Vs most nits I take my +ev call to crack the overpair but if he is super wide your implied goes down and getting a turn fold makes you so much more. I think this is pretty opponent dependent though

his flop bet is huge; i know the board is wet but still that is kinda suspicious esp in a 3bet pot; once he sizes down the turn like that to half pot i'm not really sure he wants a fold. Kinda looks like he wants you to do what you did.

i usually don't try to read into betsizing tells like that too much in players whose tendencies i don't know but this line just seems weird to me

i like it... this is probably my standard line vs unknowns. plenty of hands we want to be jamming on turn (2pair+), we got a good semibluff with plenty of outs to balance that. calling is prob ok as well, we could instead take a QTs (with no gutter outs) and x/jam that instead of this, but its the same thing pretty much.

i guess i have made that clear lol

just think its a good spot for hands like sets/2pair to x/jam turn with these SPRs. i don't think i'll be very capped playing such a strategy, because i'll be calling here with nearly all my pair+draw type hands. anyway i don't think its a huge deal to be completely uncapped on rivers after calling turn, since the SPR is low and lots of hands can easily stack off for the remainder of the chips.

even if its bad it won't be too bad I guess
most likely perfect vs someone getting out of line
