well, i guess the reasoning behind this is that he likes to make plays and this betting pattern showed nothing but wanting me out of the pot, forcing it through even tho i could have been calling with anything that beats him.
the lack of respect for my possible hands showed that something was up. |

i've made call downs like this with reads like that and hands worse than that before. so i get your reasoning precisely, but this is a super dangerous move. notice the bet size is about 2/3 pot on the turn. looks like a cross between a block and a value bet from JJ/AA + Ad/KK + Kd.
in reality the flop bet was just a CB, but the strength of his hand was increased drastically on the turn picking up a 2nd nuts FD.
i don't think i could ever have a read in online play that i trusted enough to make these calldowns. i've only ever played hands like this in this manner having strong physical reads. |
