After more than a month of grinding live poker 5-6 days a week my biggest problem is getting my wallet to close and fit in my pocket because its so full of money. This is a good problem to have. I love you live poker!

Yeah only had one small losing session lmao.. The main reason is because people will honestly tell you what they have. Most of them don't want you to call fearing you might suck out on them. There are so many things you can do interacting with people to increase winrate to insane amounts. I love LIVE!

You can also talk to them when you aren't in a hand and they will give you in depth information about how they play all types of hands in all situations. It is absolutely hilarious!

write a post about your new found skills

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

I am sure you guys have all played live and a guy just calls (or checks back) on the river with top two pair or a small flush and says out loud "I was afraid you had me beat with a better flush." This happens constantly like all throughout the night. And you can ask them "well what would you raise the river with then?" Or "What do you like betting if he checks to you on the river?"

I am always really friendly with these people and chat back and forth with them. So if they are involved in a big hand without showdown I will whisper to them and ask what they had. And almost all recreational players that you have been friendly with will tell you the truth. You can then ask what they would do if a scare card hit on the river, or if they got raised.... what they would do with a big pair etc. Also you can talk to them about their bet sizing and compliment the way they played the hand and they will go through their entire thought process.

The other night I had been talking to this guy and he told me he doesn't put a lot of money in without a huge hand. I watched him play throughout the night and everytime he made a raise or slid out a big stack of 100$ he always had a monster hand. So utg+1 guy makes it 5 to go and it goes call call and donk calls then I call on the button with QTs. The flop comes down QT7 and the initial raiser bets 5 and gets called by the donk. I think raise it up and make it 35. The UTG guy folds and the donk calls. The turn was the 9 and he instantly slid out a 100$ stack donking into me. I said "Wow man no fear at all?" And he said "Fuck it man it's just money" As soon as he said that I snap folded top two and he turned over his cards and showed J8 for the sick gutterball.

Another good hand vs a different opponent from like 3 nights ago I had JTs and raised to 10 in middle position and get 3 callers. The guy in the big blind donks into me on the flop of JT4r for 30$ I raised him to 80 (which is a big scary raise in a live game). He thinks for a while calls then the turn is a 3c he checks and I bet 120 then he goes all in. He had me covered and it was only like 150 more for me to call. And I said "wow man you must be pretty strong what do you have?" and he said "I guess its a good thing you didn't snap call. What do you have a set of T's?" And I said "Can you beat a set of 10's?". Then he answers with "If you have a set of 10's you should call" Then I say "Well I dont have a set of 10's I have JT for top 2" Then I turned my hand face up to let him see it. And he says "I will let you see either card man pick" So I chose one and it was a 4h.. So I said "You have a set of 4's?" And he says "Yep and I will show the other one if you fold because I dont want a jack or ten to hit on the river and then I lose this huge pot. I would much rather take it down right now..." And I am like "well I dont know man you could be bluffing me out and I am pretty pot committed" And he says "Fuck it man" and flips over his other card which is a 4s and says "Please Fold man save your money, I dont want that Jack or Ten to hit". So I snap folded :D

Basically I try to keep talking to the people sitting by me the entire night and constantly compliment them on their hands while probing for information on their thought process and asking "what if" questions.

Another important thing I have found is that if someone sucks out on you, you should shake his hand and congratulate him. A lot of the time he will feel ashamed that he sucked out on you and will gladly volunteer information or show cards throughout the night.
