derail, what do u think of party's customer service and the site in general nowadays? back in the old golden days when party was the biggest site and ps+ft were distant 2nd and 3rd they used to treat their players rubbishly, had terrible support and seemed to put very little resources on monitoring game integrity. they were like an evil empire site that didnt seem to care about the players and were just trying to make the most money possible, but you had to play there cause the games were the softest there since they spent by far the most on marketing.

Obv a lot of things have changed since then and now I hear they have their own stingy jewish version of the stars vip scheme and prolly treat players a lot better and have stricter regulations, so what are your experiences playing there now? Im guessing what you seek the most are soft games but there are plenty of other eurosite networks, so just curious, why party?

The customer service is brilliant. Emails replied to quickly with helpful competent information from someone in a position to make decisions. The same when you call them (if you are the party equivalent of supernove). I once called about some cashier issue, and instead of some mug reading from a script I got put straight through to my own VIP host assigned to me, who transferred me to the correct person in the money department who helped with everything brilliantly. The VIP hosts are right on it - I once asked them to pause a bonus when I was going on holiday for 4 weeks, and when I got back they phoned me and asked how my holiday was! A bit creepy, but it shows they are trying.

The bonuses are perfectly good which you get from your party points and as far as I can work out they are very competitive with the other major sites.

Part of the reason I play there is habit (been there ever since the glory days), but the other reason is that the games are mad aggro. I hate playing somewhere like FTP where if you lose a buyin at a table full of 18/15 nits you'll take forever to grind it back, esp since I only play 4-6 tables. On party, it's great for people like me who play fewer tables, since I can still have a lot of interesting decisions/minute, and the buyins fly quite freely.

Having said all that, I've discovered a secret goldmine site where I'm moving to, but if it wasn't for that I'd definitely stick with party.

Edit: also, on the ,ad aggro thing. I think this allows you, if you have an edge, to magnify it, especially playing fewer tables. Until last year I was running 4.5BB/100 long term (not including the glory days, then it was 11BB/100 lol), and I'm still clipping along at 3.7BB/100 and I have HUGE tilt problems which lowers my winrate.
