fighting is definitely good in hockey. it's a sport where if you don't respect your opponents, you can seriously hurt them badly (high-sticking, spearing, etc. etc.) and the fact that you *can* drop the gloves with someone keeps people in line.

that being said, it's extremely rare that a person who doesn't even want to fight.. fights.

so. all you ninnies can go watch some african handball or baseball imo
