there's always going to be a paper trail unless you ship someone stars $ and they give you cash irl
i never get "PStars" shown in deposits, it's always some ACH electronic credit when bank wiring. |

You SHOULD be paying taxes regardless of how much you won. |

You have the same LINK/URL for your 3 polls, so if a person who makes over 30k says Yes to paying taxes, it will show up as Yes on the other 2 polls, which defeats the purpose of having 3 different polls. |

I know that in the UK you dont pay on your poker winnings, but please give me one good reason why someone who plays poker for a living should not pay any taxes when the normal dude working from 8-5 does pay his taxes?
|
A+
Since I work fulltime, and play poker parttime, I should be more entilted to not paying tax on my poker winnings. |

Because quite logically you would have to allow tax credits for declared losses. |

Well technically poker taxation should be done like what France is doing, taxing every cent earned per pot. Your losses are your problem, the result of bad investments. It does a disservice to the poker community to brag about paying no taxes for a living. |

Taxing poker is retarded. The money invested by the players is always a net loss after rake. Taxing the people who happen to come up with a bigger share of the money is just plain stupid. Especially because long-term all-in EV luck has such a huge impact on your results.
The only person being taxed should be the poker sites themselves. Those sites should be taxed based on the rake that they charge to each country of origin. When only maybe 1 in 10 people are winning players overall it's pretty ridiculous to suggest that there should be any right to tax it.
The French version of Pokerstars including the tax system is beyond retarded. Taxing people before net winnings are even calculated is just insulting. If you have a losing session your paying taxes for the privilege of losing your money. That's just fucked up. |

Rake collected per country should be classified as a product. It's not like Pokerstars is doing this for free. They're charging for a service and it should be treated as such. I don't see how Pokerstars is selling me access to online poker is any different than a company selling a physical product. They're making money of the citizens of every country and should have to pay taxes on their profits too that country. |
