Anyone try it? Or going to?
Looks like a dawnting task but fuck, I gotta do extra shit to help ensure a successful career in finance since my GPA is shit. Does the following make sense in this order?
-In one year, finally obtain Bachelor (2011 Spring) "Age 23"
-Keep working as a waiter while studying in a MBA program (Finish by 2013-2014) "25-26"
-Hopefully get a financial advisor/anylist job right off the bat "age 27?"
-Once settled in, start CFA program to climb towards the elite
What the CFA program actually is - http://www.investopedia.com/articles/analyst/060302.asp
Anyone here an analyst, financial advisor? How do you guys like your job? How tough was it to get and maintain your job?

Don't you generally need to already have some business experience to be accepted into an MBA program? |

a lot of misconceptions about the CFA.
1) it will not get you a job, it is just a certification like anything else
2) you need to go apply to get a real job in finance and work up from there
however, those said, a CFA will look good on ur resume, its just time consuming and you should also have work experience. |

lol if you want to get into any reputable mba program, you will need REAL corporate/working experience for 2 years+ in your field, which is why most of the MBA people end up being late 20's - 30's when they start |

also you don't need mba to get CFA, and by the the looks of your situation you may be better off just shooting straight for CFA after you get bachelors |

Most people ask for CFA or MBA in analyst job descriptions. I have worked for JPMorgan for 2+ years and dont have an MBA, Im going the CFA route instead since its cheaper, will try to take my first test DEC of next year. |
