at what point is it ok to just ship over the 4 bet? Like how much do you think I should pay attention to betsizing. I mean a 4 bet is usually 20-26 percent of your stack and my question is what is the most optimal bet size, and do you ever bother 5 betting it back.

and random last question; how many of you guys just bet flop bet turn and ship river here?

AQ hand if vilain hasn't a % 3bet > 10 it's a fold pre.( OOP , reverse implied odds ...)
flop the board is really bad , I give up. (his range hit more this flop than you by far )

at what point is it ok to just ship over the 4 bet? Like how much do you think I should pay attention to betsizing. I mean a 4 bet is usually 20-26 percent of your stack and my question is what is the most optimal bet size, and do you ever bother 5 betting it back.

If you bet 30% of your stack you're commited.

Basically , you don't 4bet , 5bet shove a specific range.
Your 4 bet range 5bet shove depends on the %3bet %4bet of vilain and position (eraly or late position , IP/OOP)

I prefer by far 4bet bluff with A5s- than AQ

On the last hand, I think it's best to fire/shove the turn if you get something, or get equity. Like if the board gives you straight draw on the turn, or a flush draw, or something, I would play it same here, since it's a pretty bad board for C betting, most of the time villain has a medium pocket pair, and when the turn becomes a 2, he ain't folding 88,99,TT. May get him to fold 66,55, or AK, but I don't know enough about the villain to know here.

The 4bet size I think in general should be around x2,5 the 3b or around there. You want good leverage, but you don't want to give people odds is a good way to think when it comes to bet sizing. So at 5-10 (to make it easy) someone bet 30e, your 3b should be around 100-105, under that and they get better and better odds at calling, over and you create too much dead money. The reason for making the 4b a bit smaller because we almost always put our oponent to the exact same decision, and the size won't matter, and we're getting a better price, creating less dead money, allowing us to 4b bluff at a higher frequency.

Example, so someone 4b to 310, opponent shove and you were bluffing, you fold. If you made it 255, you'd save 55 each time you do it

I wouldn't 4b in the blinds an UTG opener either, if you start doing that, most utg ppl play like 10% of their hand, the range you're representing is stupidly narrow, And if you get action, you better have AA KK AK, and if you only 4b with those from the blinds vs utg, you're exploitable.

I've had good succes with flatting, but I have to do it with AA,KK as well, as AQ, AK hands vs utg, and just know that I prolly won't win a huge pot, and got for some value.

No.
The only reason you 4 bet 25% of your stack is the commited thing.
if you have to 4 bet more than 30% , shove is superior.
(If vilain is not a nl2 grinder who don't get basic maths obv )

edit : yup don't 3 bet UTG with AQo lol

It's fine to 3bet utg alot imo as long as you're IP, a lot better than 3betting from the blinds.

top 10% of a range still has boatload of shit he won't want to get it in with without history, range of like TT-AA AK is top 4% or even less.

i agree, 4betting is wildly +ev, but you are prob even more +ev just calling their 3bets and letting them play terribly post flop

Its time to stop thinking like a bitch and think smart like a poker player - ket
