Just bought NO-explode and 5lb Whey protein powder. Getting off the muscle milk because of the high fat & saturated fat content (atleast for now while I'm trying to lower my body fat %).

Anybody got any experience with any non protein powder supplements like creatine, fish oil etc.? I want to hear what people think about them.

Pretty excited for the shipment.

I used creatin from time to time.
I mostly use Kre alkalyin

doing 2 caps on non training days in the morning
doing 5 on training days ( 2 morning , 2 pre workout 1 post workout)

i mostly use it for faster regeneration and more strength

results :

didnt notice a lot of weight gain ( i gain ~ 2-3 kilos on average during a 6 weak kre alkalin cure of which i lose 1KG after stopping due to water -> normal creatin gain 4-5KG of which ~3KG is water)
do notice great strength improvement though.
Also i get insane pump while working out .. veins on arms and throat look like they are to explode when lifting weights.

bad thing is that u have to be careful when fighting since u can hurt your biceps easily while punching when having more water in it.

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)Last edit: 20/04/2010 19:36

NO-Xplode and Whey is great for a regular just working out. The Xplode gives you plenty of energy and and Whey gives a shitload of protein ( usually 52g I believe?). Because if you are having trouble gaining mass the usual recommendation is getting a gram of protein daily per pound of body weight which 52g helps a shitload. Muscle milk is shit and it sounds like you have a much different body type than mine ( I am the guy who gets much much stronger but never ever bigger ..... I was 5"11 and 160lbs and benching 265 ) so it's definitely better to leave it alone. PM me if you have any more questions... I can help you out a lot more since I studied this shit for so long.

Creatine and fish oil are among the only scientifically studied supplements, with creatine in particular having documented effects beyond a placebo in every study. NO Xplode etc is just caffeine and crap, don't waste your time unless you like expensive caffeine powders.

Your body doesn't need more than 3-5g of creatine a day btw, and if you are eating a lot of red meat you are probably already meeting that. It's cheap so you may as well get it anyway. Basic creatine monohydrate is just as good as any fancy mixes so don't waste your time; Cell-Tech is a living joke on bodybuilding.com for being an overpriced creatine/sugar mix.

I suggest you post in that forum, its 100x more knowledgeable than the shitfest that is LP when it comes to supplements. Asking about supplements here is like asking about poker there: does not make sense and will get you crap responses.

srsly post there not here, the responses above that I read are similar to people saying "I play low cards in poker because nobody expects them!!'.

they see me trollin, they hatin

Creatine monohydrate is crap, pills which PplusAD suggested are good. Monogydrate's adoption percent is very low and you needed load/unload phases, while these pills are much more effective and adoption percent is much higher. You don't need protein shakes if your nutrition is balanced, id stick to creatin/amines, and use protein only when you don' thave enough time to eat or you are not sure if you are consuming enough food.

Wrong. Take creatine if you wanna get big trust me. And you do not need to load just take 5 g a day for 6-8 weeks then stop taking it for a month. Then start all over again.

First of all u need to know what your goal is.

Since i am an MMA fighter my goal is to have maximum strength and maximum regernation ( I train 6days a weak) while not getting too much weight ( have to cut for fights obviously)
Kre Alkalyn is better than Monohydrate for this since on Monohydrathe u need to drink a shitload of water which isnt too good for MMA Training performance + u gain massive amount of weight due to good amount of water increase in your muscles.

However if your goal is to look big
-> Monohydrathe > Kre alkalyn

My goal is to be around at least 8% body fat with some good amount of muscle. I'm 6'1 with a medium frame so I suppose I could be around 185-190 lbs. I'm thinking this because UFC middleweight fighters are usually my height and have to weigh in at 185 lbs, and I'm taking into account that they weigh that much after they dehydrate themselves and they're also super strong. I'm not trying to be crazy strong like that, maybe some day, but I like to have a good cut and good size build. Middle weight fighters usually walk around 200-210 when they're not fighting so just subtract 10 lbs of muscle and you got that 190.

So that's my goal 4 months from now. 12 months from now maybe a comfortable walk around weight about 195 lbs with low body fat like 7-8%. Anything less than 5% is kinda gross O_o.

If anything, striving to look like GSP is the ultimate goal 8)
