Yo guys. Quick question.

My ears have been feelin clogged (mostly my left ear) for the past week or 2. It's not that they are infected, I just think there's hella wax in them even though I'm not too bad when it comes to diving into the ears with q-tips.

Do you guys think Kaiser has quick appointments for helping people with this kind of problem? Or is there some kind of do it yourself kit? Anyone ever had the same problem?

fuuuuu

Oh I remember a doctor taking wax out of my ears when I was a kid, so maybe....

It works. You put some drops in your ear, fill the bulb syringe with water, and then squirt the water into your ear as hard as you can. Repeat a few times and your ears will clear up.

Not sure with the use of Q tips, everyone says you shouldnt use them. Just go to ur local pharmacy, and u can get those thingys to get rid of it.

go to walgreens/CVS, buy a ear wax candle (i think thats what they're called). No personal experience, but my grandmother used it.

Yeah, dip Q-tip in alcohol and clean your ear. Make sure to rinse it with dry Q tip as well.

This is very likely to be a build up of wax. Honestly do not shove anything in your ear such as Q-tips and so on (5 mins of googling and you will know it's a bad idea). Ears are hugely sensitive and any misstep can literally fuck them up for life with things like tinnitis and pierced ear drums etc.

All doctors will recommend putting a few drops of oil in your ear and laying on your side for 5 mins twice a day. This will soften the wax and it may fall out naturally after a week or so, if you still don't have any success at that point visit a doctor and they will use one of their latest machines that fires controlled pulses of water into your ear (protecting them from damage) to remove the wax. Again before they even do this they will ask that you oil your ears for approx one week.

Source: Large amount of research having just had the problem myself.

i went to get this checked when both my ears got clogged and i was literally almost deaf. do the drops if you can live with it, go to the doctor and they'll clear it out if u can't.

Shad, tough luck bro, I have with me hear a Háls-, nef- og eyrnalæknar (Throat, nose and ear doctor) and he tells me most of that is silly.

The parts that aren't silly: Telling people not to stick shit up their ears.
The parts that are silly: The few drops of oil thing etc, they way easiest, quickest and most efficient way to get rid of ear wax is just going to a doctor like him,
most ear wax can be pulled out with suction, more stuck ones can be easily gotten rid of with the steady hand of a Ph.D and watering is outdated.

LikeASet, if for example when you get out of a shower/a long shower it feels like you have water in your ear for a rather long time afterwards, ear wax is your problem.
If it doesn't, you might have a lot of shit I don't know the English words for.

Sadufab, watch this video if you want to top your record: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a9d_1265874302 (Not for the faint of heart)

taco I went to see an ENT doctor myself so if he is silly then yes you are correct. Oh and he did say the suction device was the next step but I would need to go the hospital if that was required.

Also I don't claim to know more than your doctor friend (or whoever it is) but the watering technique they are using now is apparently with a new machine and not the old school style syringing.
