I was dicking around my laptop database (which is v small, like 25k hands), and I ended up filtering 3-6 player, filtered out and filtered only for sb & bb and effective stacks < or > 145bb. The result was interesting. My winrate with <145bb stacks is very small, with a strongly declining red line, and my winrate with >145bb stacks is enormouslymassive with a strongly inclining red line. I would really like to see some of your guy's graphs with </>145bb stacks with or without the blinds, in 6max play, to see if the result is typical or if it shows that my 100bb game is suffering.

I also just had a thought that I should filter for like 75-145bb vs 145bb+ to remove whatever weird effect shortstacks might have (then again there are no shortstackers in my games on ftp HAHA STARS PlayerS and FTP databases from jan. or earlier, plz filter for 75-145bb instead of just <145bb).

Anyway I will post my graphs later, my laptop doesn't have internet access right this second.

Plz show meee, thanks.

i think filtering for 75-145 effective won't tell you a whole lot whether deeper play is more profitable or whatever, since by having only 75bb+ stacks you exclude a lot of fish who have random odd stacks below that amount.

The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts.

yeah but I'm not worried about that particular aspect of play at the moment, unless I'm overlooking something.. I've felt somewhat uncomfortable for several months now since I changed from exclusively playing deep, ante tables to playing 100bb tables. I'm wondering if my ~100bb game is not up to snuff like it ought to be.

Here are the graphs from my small database (only this month actually, 18k total hands). The overall trends of each graph are quite striking though.

<145bb

>145bb

without sb/bb the graphs look similar as far as their trends go.

its just because you play extra carefully deep and getting it in only with real strong hands, while you go allin much lighter at 100BB imo

if u looked at the graph you would know that doesn't make any sense since my redline blasts upwards in deep play ..? wouldn't that indicate that I'm winning more hands at non-showdown

i still dont get what u dont get. You play strong hands deep, therefore you try to get the stacks in, therefore u betbet/checkraise whatever) and since ur opponents know this they fold to your bets/raises and if they happen to call you they are probably often behind. aka both red and blue line goes up

so ur saying that even though I play more hands the deeper I get I'm making the nuts every hand and blowing my opponent out of the pot, as compared to when I play tighter at 100bb where I fold all the time postflop cuz I'm afraid of getting stacks in thus my dropping red line wait what

anyway the point is that I'd like to know if this is how everryone's graphs here look so I know if its pointing to a weakness in my 100bb game

"I'm making the nuts every hand and blowing my opponent out of the pot," obv i didnt say that -_-
oh well...

anyway i checked mine (1k hands coz im on laptop) and looks kinda like yours up 5bi, inclining blue line and almost stagnating red line

btw im quite sure that both yours and mine are very small samples to draw srs conclusions

it's only 4k hands vs 14k. Wait til you have more.

I knowwwww the samples are small, I figured someone or two with larger samples would post and the graphs could be semi-compared, but you are all unhelpful
