bankroll just got pooped on but its np, I'm going to have hardcore beautiful grinding ahead of me for the next couple months (except for weekend partying), cuz I'm staying in chang mai for atleast 2 more months O_O
How things go poker-wise will determine if I make it to vegas.. but I think I will be able to make some good things happen so long as my place has solid internet.
So here's to chang mai
/quick update

thailand internet can be dodgy, when I go looking for apartments sunday 'n monday that needs to be like my #1 priority, kind of hard to test that tho :/
CM is nice, inexpensive, but a real city (2nd biggest in thailand), has a university (so lots of ppl my age), and being a real city it has nightlife. Also the climate is a lot better than the south (at this time of year atleast, dunno about the rest, but it is generally cooler here in the north).
Phuket city is OK, other parts of Phuket are all 50-100% more expensive than CM. The bit of BKK I saw was more expensive than CM and also very polluted which really sucks for a long-term place to stay. Its also hotter in BKK.

CM is awesome, i spent like 3 months there around the moon muang soi 7 area, agree 100% about the weather and cost.
how long have you been there? i don't know what it costs to setup internet at an apt. there because on one of my first days i fell asleep and rolled over on top of my laptop and wrecked it (lol -_-) so i just used internet cafes the whole time.
But anyway CM internet cafes are pretty manner, the one I ended up visiting the most often was 15 THB/hr and had probably the fastest connection I experienced in Thailand. |

serious LOLS @ laptop. wow serious LOL
The place I'm staying is sort of a hotel-with longterm accomodations place for students and foreigners alike, so they have an internet connection set up already. I have to pay 300 baht extra a month for it though.. no biggy. I just hope the connection is stable and lets me grind, else I Will be spending more than a reasonable amount of time in internet cafes over the next couple of months... There was one near my place that was full of nerds playing computer games though, so I will be joining them for a little taste of home anyway LOL. rambling w/e
I spent a good week in CM, and I haven't actually moved into my long-term place yet. What were u doing in CM for so long? awesome |
