January Goals

I wouldn't set a goal to just raise 3-bet percentage. Learn how to 3bet in a profitable way. If you say just raise your percentage you will just start spewing all sorts of shit.

Btw 150k hands in one month? You must play a shit load of tables. Also being new to 6max I cannot see how this is going to be a good thing as you will just bleed so much shit. Cut your play back to 4-6 tables and learn the 6max game.

Hmmm. I'm winning like 6 bb/100 or so in EV while I'm 24 tabling. When I said to increase my 3-bet %, I just meant get myself into more marginal spots. There's so many times a loose raiser opens and I just fold decent aces when I could be 3-betting and winning pots, or forcing my opponents into mistakes. I guess that's all I meant. Right now my 3-bet % is only about 4.7% and it's basically purely for value. If I start 3-betting some suited connectors and defending more with 3-bets I think it'll just boost my win rate since I 3-bet so infrequently to begin with. Thoughts? Thanks for the response btw =) And yea, 150k hands in a month shouldnt' be too bad... I usually get 2500 hands in an hour, so that's only 15 hours/week or so...

Well, just remember if you start 3 betting with more marginal hands, you will have to think a bit more about hands, and when multi tabling 24 tables, it may effect your play and overwhelm you, and thus begin a downward spiral of spew.

Yeah, I definitely agree. Well, I think my game is pretty solid, and I'm pretty good in 3-bet pots. I usually try to 3-bet with position, or against weaker or over-aggressive opponents that can't really play back as much against me. I get what you're saying though. But I guess when I play 24 tables, I really get to pick my spots, it's not like I'll just 3-bet random cards, the spots I'll be increasing will be against opponents in position and such. I'm mostly just trying to up the % so my big hands get paid off more when I move up in stakes, otherwise no one will ever call my 3-bets hahah.

Oh yeah, I actually have pretty decent note-taking and table observation when I 24 table also. I used to 60 table when I played turbo sngs lol. I mean, there's obviously a LOT I miss out on, but I have pretty great multi tasking from starcraft, so I do ok with it. I'm definitely going to cut down tables when I move up to NL50.
