In my goals for December I wanted to train 12 times this month, I ended up on 7 times. But I'm fairly happy about that, because I've been struggling a lot with my illness, and hasn't been able to train.
When it comes to pokerstudy, I'm happy. I've seen around 15 vods and done quite a bit of reading, only problem is I keep reading 40 pages into something, then stopping, finding something else to start on, then something else. I really should finish a book.
I wanted to try and play 80 hours of actual poker this month (On the table)and ended up with 84 hours, so that's really cool.
For my winrate, not so cool. I really want it higher, and just wanting it isn't enough. Need to put more effort into it.
38,159 hands on 20nl (euro) with a winrate of 1,76BB/100 269e = 13,5 buy ins up.
But I I raked quite a bit, and I'll get around 480e in rakeback, so total profit = 749e
So next month I'll start with taking shot at 50nl, and if I drop down 5bi I'll move down to 20nl.
My final stats:
VP$IP 22.38 / PFR 17.85 / WTSD 26,7 / AF 3.0 / 3B 6,7 / Fold 3B 68 / Fold BB to Steal 76 / Fold SB to steal 85
When I look at positions it looks fine, I think, vip on the button is 30% and utg is 17%. I'm winning from cash from the last 3 positions, and losing tons of SB and BB (But those are blinds, can I avoid that?)
And the graph looks weird as always, the blue one in a straight consistent line up, green one goes vertical, slightly up, and the red goes down down down.

Your approach is really a great inspiration Marius.
I wouldn't worry too much about win rates and redline (750 euro is a very good result), your red line will improve naturally as you get better at hand reading and it will get much easier to sense weakness and good spots to take down many small pots. Just make sure you don't autopilot and when you think a bluff can be +ev by all means go for it without fear.
About the blind losing - I found people reacting very badly to 3bets at these limits at least at Stars(dunno about your sites), watch professor plotkin or something like that on DC for 3bets/4bets, it starts coming in handy from NL50. I had always around 10% 3bet in blinds at NL25 (nobody ever 4bet bluffs which makes it much easier).
P.S. I hope you like the Tommy Angelo's series, it might come a lil' boring at first but it is only thanks to that series that I actually enjoy poker, whether losing or winning, which is hugely +ev at the tables, but also in real life.
Just to add: If you haven's go watch first two episodes of Mathematics of holdem, the concepts in it are absolutely vital for a beginner and I still see even people with long time experience to not understand some of the basics of mathematical underwriting of poker. |

Ok thanks awesome, noted down the mathematics and professor plotkin. The math area is by far my biggest challenge in poker, I did poorly in math at school, around average, and I don't understand/get algebra well, so to do the combonatoric stuff is really hard.
I really hate playing 20nl though, that's a wrong mindset. There are LOADS of fishes, but, they all buy in for minimum, which is 4euro, and the other are semi regulars with propper stats, so not that easy to exploit I feel. Would be so awesome if the minimum buy in was a little higher. |

Seriously, from the looks of it you should have a very prosperous 2010. Keep up the good work! |
