Saturday we (Team Quest) had our grand opening (well reopening in a much larger building) anyways to mark the occasion Dan Henderson and Matt Lindland came out for a seminar and a bbq. Fun day, went over some technical clinch work and using gnp to manipulate positioning then just kind of goofed around as we had an open gym for the community to come check the new place out. We had a good turn out, probably around 300-400 people showed up for the opening, which may not seem like much for some places but for this little town that's alot. Bad news, my camera's batteries were dead so got very few pics (only cell phone and ones I took on friend's cameras). The local news came down and did an interview with Dan and Matt, and are going to be doing a piece on our fight team in the coming weeks so we're very excited about that.

Yea Team Quest has 4 locations, Portland OR (ran by Lindland), Murrieta, CA (ran by Hendo), Tualatin, OR (ran by Scott McQuary and Enoch Wilson) and Redding, Ca (ran by Carlos Zapata), with the head instructors giving seminars at the others on a rotating basis then an extra building or two for super secret ninja team training stuff, membership in one gets you into all. |

got some time to chat casually with him, from the sound of it he's going to be entertaining 3 weight classes and he's going for their top dogs right from the start, he's expecting his first match up to with Jake Shield or Mousasi, nothing inked yet just possible fights they through out to him that he was interested in taking. |
