Just finished reading slowhabit´s book. I think this book has a ton of information for the average SSNL, like me.

There are alot of good examples of making moves postflop, taking into consideration the board texture and how it connects with our opponents ranges. There are also some good examples, like playing AQ oop in 3bet pots, wich i haven´t even considered playing that way and it has definetly helped to improve my game. Another thing, that i have gained from this book is to identify good spots for river bluffs, when opponents hand is pretty much faceup and he wont be able to stand the pressure.

To anybody who feels is playing solid, but to predictable poker and wants to add some gamble to their game I highly recommend this book.

So has it already helped your winrate?

I've heard some people say that it's easy to misapply some concepts and soon you'll find you try making them fold every pot which obv turns you into a spew monkey. You have any trouble with that?

One of my biggest mistakes is that I make very spewy plays to often. On the other side people also pay me off huge when having a hand. If I could work more discipline into my game and start evaluating FE better and laydown hands when I know I´m beat I would probably improve alot.

That said of course you could missapply some of the ideas in the the book and become spewy, but that wouldn´t really be the fault of the book, but your mistakes for applying it wrongly. As for my winrate can´t really say, last month was great, but this month I have been running very bad (23bi below EV) so it´s kind of hard to evaluate. I will let you know in a couple of months once I start running normal again.
