tough break man, that's pretty brutal, but on the plus side, you didn't self-destruct, no?

I'm glad youve made these realizations and coped with it the way you did. As poker players we honestly choose our own fate, and you're right, after a huge loss you can cry about it or have it make you a better person.

LOL this was meant to be looked at as inspiring and motivational, if you are offering sympathy you didn't understand what I wrote.

good read indeed, gl marshall

The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts.

at the end of each (losing in this example) session you can only think two things - either i played well or i didnt play well. if you think you played well, you should make sure in HEM that you did until after a session when you think you've played well you actually have. and then if you play well and lose shit happens oh well.

if you dont play well and lose its probably either because of some external factor (lack of sleep, sick, multitasking other pointless stuff) or that you indeed suck. again its pretty important to go back and check multiple sessions and see if you do in fact suck, or if you were just retarded and playing tilted.

fuck all this one with the world bullshit, its just poker

good luck marshal

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

30 buy-in loss in a day is disgusting. 12 buy-in down over a 15k hand session is my worst down day. I always tried to quit the day if I got below 7 buy-ins.
I never saw losses as any other motivation than to get that money back. Make all these connections when you have huge up swings.
