Massive traffic accident shutting down entire freeway to work, so I just stayed home for an hour this morning. Decided might as well see what early mornin poker is like.

Looks like I need to move back to NL200 soon, dont know how much longer my bankroll can survive at NL25.

Jammed a couple of FD's vs check-minraising fish who hit their sets. Got outplayed by one fish who checked QQ to the river then overbets my value bet on the river.

I thought this hand was *kinda* interesting, least not for the fact that he was running a standard 26/18 at the tbale.

Basically I figured any good hand had to shove over my 3bet, since regs love to check-raise draws. When he flats I figure he's definitely on a draw, so I bet half pot on turn to "find out where im at" and he calls, so now I know where im at.

Playing 4 tables, i had a 55vpip to my left, a 33vpip, a 42vpip, and 36vpip. So needless to say it just kinda put me in a funk since now I cant raise much of anything. Curiously, the highest vpip player on my right on ANY table was 18vpip. Not sure how this dynamic keeps forming. I just pick tables and next thing I know all the stations are on my left and all the nits who never pay off are on my right. Worst possible scenario imo. Will take another shot at lunch hopefully.

donkeys dont know how to fold... stop making stupid bluffs with hands that have SOME showdown value.

Either bet/fold or check/call 1-2 streets if you think he can do it with a draw.

u got to learn to lay these hands down ! (fps )

but at least if u gonna rr his rr on flop go to like 9 or something like that, put some real pressure on him.

I think I play these hands these ways because I try to think of how I would play them in villains shoes. I would never flat a CO open with KJo in the BB. To me, KJo is just a fishy hand. My steal rate was probably like 25%+. So if I were him, I would either 3bet for value. When it gets called I would lead with my TP or c/c, not check-raise like I have the nuts hizzy. Check-raise flop, then c/c turn, then c/c river seems like such a wishy washy move. I would never do it. So I try to think villain would never do it either.

I figure why 3bet him to 9 when he's calling whether I make it 9, 7, or 15. He's never folding a jack on this board, so my raise size is rather irrelevant. A minraise might get him to do something different, but I dont minraise ever. $7 is about as close to a minraise without actually looking like a minraise as you can get, hence my bet sizing. Come to think of it though the turn bet didnt make much sense. Theres just not any draws he can really be on that he flats a PFR in the BB with that he wouldnt have 3bet me with in the first place.

I do need to start just bet-folding or c/folding more often though. I get paranoid that players are just gonna label be as a cbetter and be like "zomg I know he's just cbetting, float 100%" and shit. I dont want to seem patently robotic doing the same thing every time, and then when I finally show resistance everybody runs away b/c it's obvious I have aces. However looking back on hands like the KJo, he could clearly give a fuck less what I have and wasnt really thinking much about it in the first place. Since this is probably how 90% of players play, I probably dont have to worry about giving off tells.

always shove river if you're going to turn 88 into a bluff on the flop
