What the hell does it take to become a red name on full tilt? Use to think it was for good pros, but the ones i've played with are just horrible.

can you become a red pro if they sponsor you at a televised tourney? some of the videos on full tilt poker academy are god awful. |

I think they are mostly live pros, hence the awfulness. |

they get 100% rakeback (some get more)
they get paid extra to wear FTP badges on live FTs when they make them
for some, FTP stakes them in live tournaments
and the big names like phil ivey also get salaries. i've heard a lot of different figures for various people - 40k/mo, 1million/mo, etc.
that's all i know. all you need to be an FTP redname is to be marketable and visible in live tournaments. i, for instance, am likely to get a red name within a year |
