So since I luckboxed my way into a freeroll for Unibet Open London I feel that I should probably try to figure out how not to suck in live MTT's. Obviously I feel that I've got a decent understanding of poker in general, but I just don't feel that some of the things I do in online cash will work out live.
1. Herocalling everything that looks weird untill I've figured someone out seems to expensive when you start with like 200bb and can't rebuy.
2. Going broke and shipping super light in spots were I believe that I might have an edge even if the variance is huge.
3. cold 4betbluffing (although this one might work decently I guess, but probably isn't worth it)
4. etc etc
Anyone knows anything good to read/watch to get better at this? Already read Myth's live NL-stuff and I'm watching CR-vids right now. Any ideas are welcome!

do you ever play online donkaments? its the same shit, its not that only because its a live donkament and you go through travelling and has a lot of expectation that you wont get bad beated etc etc shits going down just like in an $3+r online tournament  hahah thats my POV, ive played like 4 EPTs and you get really excited but shit happens nevertheless |

Played a decent bit of MTT's. Won a 30k grtd a year ago, have like maybe 6-7 2k+ scores with the biggest being 11k in FTOPs omaha like 2-3 months ago. Played one decently big live donkament (25k SEC, like 3k USD buyin) and busted after like 10 hands with KK vs AA on AK6r, lol.
Problem is that I don't know if I can play like an overaggro lagtard live since it's more stupid shit with live tells and such to think about which kinda makes me feel that I should probably play a tad more solid. It's also a higher buyin etc so I feel that a higher % of the starting field should have some basic idea about what they're doing then in some random 50r. |
