Maybe it's still a bit premature to pronounce myself as a NL25 reg, but the results thus far have been encouraging.
I'm not sure why/how my AF is still above 5, or whether this is an issue to be taken seriously. Considering I play an incredibly nitty style, maybe it is relatively permissible since I do have decent hands more often than not when I reach the flop and beyond.

Downswing I believe resulted from a combination of a run of poor cards and calling down halfstacks too lightly.
Not an interesting update, but I guess I'll summarize it as "I'm steadily pacing forward"

af above 5 isn't a big concern
my AF is like 30+ or something, i think they said that AF isn't really that indicative if u play a taggy style. |

30+ or something would be quite a feat.
I have a 4.63 AF with a 60% AFq in 6max (3.77/55% FR) and it seems to work well. If you're playing premium hands, cbetting, and value betting your made hands, you aren't going to be doing a lot of calling. People at microstakes love to make tiny bets into pots so you end up raising instead of calling much more often than the higher limit players, and you're often raising limpers and taking initiative in pots because the fish aren't. I know all the guides say you're a crazy aggro maniac if you're over 3.5 (sometimes they say 2.5 or even lower...) but I'm not seeing it. |

nice progression man :D. As others have said, i really wouldnt worry about your high AF. It really means you're just betting and rarely calling, which is fine since most of our micro stuff is just valuetowning fishies with premiums as shadowndragon said. As long as you still know to pot control some hands from position, like Calling Turn/River with mediocre hands that you still think deserve a showdown on dry boards vs certain opponants when facing agression and stuff like that. |

WHAT, how can you be crazy aggro maniac if you're over 3,5? Guess it's the passive fish at NL50 that makes it a bit misleading to me...
Edit: I have an AF of 5.30 and AFq of 55.59. I have no idea what you "should" have and if my AFq is bad, overall it works fine for me, but it might be a leak. (VPIP: 22 PFR: 16) |
