Well, today i started off with less than $30 in my bankroll.
How did this happen you ask?
Poor Bankroll management? Yes.
Mad Tilt? Yes.
Bad Beats? No. No such thing.
Thus, my journey of being up $500 and taking shots at nl25 were reduced to being underrolled for nl2.
How did this happen? what about the $200 in bonuses that I recieved from all those Bonuses?
Well, it all started off with a nl25 session that i went -10BI from my bad plays. Went from $600->$300 in my BR.
Thats not so bad right? I still had like $300 and $125 in bonuses. However, what happened next was horrible.
I played heads up. (nl50). Deeply underrolled i figured i could beat someone with some headsup prowess. Little did i know, i would lose every single hand in that headsup game. Some might call it bad beats, but i guess 70% and 80% chances to win are never enough with a small bankroll.
Thus, i ended up with $150 in my Bankroll.
So now what? With $150 in my bankroll, i firmed up, and cleared my bonuses in nl10. I ran decent, and was able to replenish my BR to $300.
But how did i end up at $100 now you ask?
Bad bankroll management.
After hitting $300 again, I played various games, nl25 ( a few shots), badugi, stud, with razz being the only game i actually earned money in. I lost every single MTT i played, never got in the money, and went on a horrible streak in nl10.
So that left me with $100 the day before yesterday.
I figured, hell, i can grind this back up in nl10, i did it before!
And then, i get slaughtered and end up losing at nl5, eventually landing at a sub $30 bankroll.
I said fuck it, I'll try my best again and grind back up from the bottom. I started playing HUSnGs last night, and found that my heads up "skill" proved a little successful. so i regrinded and grinded and grinded.
So today, after degenerately playing 6s HUSnGs, i am back to my $100 bankroll. A far cry yes from my glory days, but how can i complain? I went on a huge streak like 10 wins in a row in HUSnGs, and found a fun yet rewarding activity.
From here my goals are:
Grind HUSnGs and nl10 until i hit my $500 BR -> nl25 -> $2000 BR -> nl50 HU.
immediate goals:
grind back to $200, and actually be rolled for nl10.
quit tilting and playing like a noob.
learn how to play 6max poker...
learn how to play HU
Well...it's time to get back on the proverbial horse.

dude you need better br management(im sure you know this already)
stop playing severely underolled for certain limits
and never chase donks who challenge you to HU, your ego will get the best of you and you will lose
regain focus and regrind and don't tilt
good luck |

how the fuck do u no he's busto, if he was he'd prolly say it anyway given that he's said everything that's happened to him so far. I know it's hard to practice BR management, but u gotta do it, especially once u reached around 300, where u are rolled for NL10, and 5+ sngs, and 4.4 and under Mtts, the bare minimum stakes to play without going insane for you apparently. Just grind it out at NL5 and 3.4 STTs, and try 1 dollar 45 and 90 mans, they're pretty easy. GL. |
