So, this is a bit of a venting blog, you've been warned.

I feel like I suddenly suck at this game. Pretty much feel like I rely on variance to win, I slowly bleed money each session then I hit a heater and make it back, then after its over I keep bleeding money. I dunno if it's just variance but it's been happening all month. I've taken stats from PT and compared last month to this month, if anyone could have a quick look over them that'd be awesome. They look so similar to me but maybe there's something small that has a big impact which I can't spot. Here's my stats:

Dunno what's going on I've ordered Tommy Angelo's book (Elements of Poker), hopefully that'll be here in the next week or so, everyone who has read it has absolutely raved about it so hopefully it's a good read!

Some songs I've listened to recently;
explosions in the sky - remember me as a time of day
explosions in the sky - a poor mans memory
explosions in the sky - from west texas
explosions in the sky - lonely train
something corporate - konstantine
one republic - mercy
one republic - say
one republic - come home
shawn mcdonald - take my hand
shawn mcdonald - captivated
ben moody - everything burns
HIM - right here in my arms
HIM - beyond redemption
Story of the year - Until the day I die
Filter - Take a picture

Also been listening to some old blink 182, Rise Against, Rufio, Yellowcard and Lostprophets albums lately :D

stats look good overall, maybe you are not playing as aggressively around the blinds as you could be? your attempt to steal looks too low, it should be up around 30 or higher. maybe defend the big blind more and maybe limp in and steal on the flop from small blind? I dunno, its hard to tell what you are up to just from stats. generally just try to focus on playing individual hands optimally, review and analyse situations.

musics is cool, explosions in the sky is good. I'm checking out some of the other music you have listed too ^^

160 below expectation. Keep on truckin'z. D:

And one thing I thought I might mention about a higher steal% that you're looking for. We talked about suited connectors and whether or not playing them was a good move pf given our level of postflop skill, and if you just pop in exactly 30% into your pokerstove, the only suited connectors you'd ever need to play are T9, 98, and some highcard gappers (the lowest of which is T8): all suited. 45/65s is probably good to pitch on the button when you're playing against a pair of 50/20 blinds. Just open up your higher cards, keep your kicker >8 and loosen up appropriately against tighter blinds. Hopefully that helps.

160 below expectation is pretty standard variance. More concerning is that after 68 all-ins your expected winnings were zero, yeah that's not very good. If you aren't beating NL25 you probably have a ton of leaks and are missing lots of spots to make money find someone on this site who has destroyed that level recently and ask them to teach you everything they know .

Sorry dude he Jason Bourned me. -Johnny Drama
