i made my first cash deposit about a year ago in the summer of 2007 for 50 dollars. popped open two tables of 25NL FR and proceeded to donk it up to 120, at which point i moved up to 100NL and stacked it all off in the final hand of AQs vs AA pre... (i still remember that guy's acct name: LaPoCaFlame, that Korean NIT). a few uneventful months passed, in which i deposited 200 dollars on FTP and lost it all playing playing 10NL FR.

Decemeber

my friend had cashed for about 1.50 in an MTT with the last 50 cents he had left. he ground that up to $75 shortstacking 5NL and gave me $25 dollars to play with. i fired up 4 tables of 2NL and proceeded to go broke again. but in between i had built up a good amount which i periodically donated to my friend who'd neilly his BR up in the low stakes up to the 300-400 range and then go broke, get his $20-$30 stake from me and repeat.

January

at this point i was pretty much broke but my friend sent me $100 to play with and i figured i wasn't getting any better playing anywhere else so i started taking poker v v v seriously @ 2NL 6max. at the same time i started visiting LP religiously and reading and thinking about poker pretty much all day long. this was when i started accepting the fact that bankroll management is the very foundation of successful poker.

February/March

10NL 6max aka Hell Difficulty

April

although i was thinking about nothing other than poker the past few months, i really didn't start putting in the hands though up until 25NL and April. And that was when all my hard work started bringing results. for one, by this point i figured this semester at school was already shot to shit, so might as well focus on the one thing that's going ok in my life. fortunately i started getting a feel for my edge over the microstakes game by this point.

May

today. what a glorious day. i finally bade my farewell to the "micro" tab on PStars and moved up to 50NL. pretty fucking stoked right now and extremely hopeful for the summer.

Some Hands

it's always refreshing/fun to go over hands from the past, especially when you're looking at the hand with an improved understanding of the game.

on a side note, i'm probably down about $300 staking my degen friends but they do cash out whenever they can to pay for our friday night binge sessions so i suppose i consider it even.

well that's my poker career so far. as pleasing as the way the br looks right now, im probably even more satisfied by how much i've improved at the game over the past few months. thanks for all the love and support LP.. couldn't have done it without you.

s'pose that's all for now =)

How's NL25 compared to NL10, any harder?

hahaha fun post =)

50 NL is very similar to NL25 - don't change a thing and you'll keep winning. ^^
