I made it home in time to play sunday tournaments (altho forgot to sleep but nevermind). Am going to play sunday warmup $215 on stars, sunday million $215, FTP warmup $256 (standard 216 tournament but with $40 BOUNTIES!!!!) and FTP normal $215.

I will update hands here and attempt to show what goes on for me in sunday tournaments. IF i can run good, it might be interesting. Otherwise its likely going to be losing lots of coinflips.

Warmup just started now, everything else coming up so feel free to sweat/ask Qs or whatever - or just read my blog

Sunday Warmup

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/343136 - First hand of interest, raised two limpers and got 3bet by a nitty solid player. Easy fold imo, not good enough odds to set mine, and he has me beat here way too often. His bet is also kinda small for it to be AK, so more likeky QQ+

I don't expect to get called on the river very often, but hes playing a fair amount of hands and i don't have a good enough read that he will bluff the river so just bet bet bet.

Folded for two orbits, raised ATo once during that and got 3bet so had to fold. Tournaments are lots of waiting for cards, and being patient, esp early in a tournament. If you aren't getting anything playable, you can just keep folding and wait it out. Clearly your image will be really tight, which should increase your raising range in LP etc, and you should try to keep up a reasonably active image so you do get some action - but if you have 73o, A2o, K6s every hand its fine to just wait. Eventually you'll have to play a hand obviously, but so many newer tournament players just go nuts way before they should out of boredom it seems

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/343155 - raise AJ utg and get called by the table fish. The flop comes pretty bad for my hand, but i think his calling range preflop is pretty wide since hes not very good, so i have to cbet. Sadly he has something to push and i just can't call

First break i'm down to 8475, which will be 21bb when it restarts. This is getting close to a good resteal stack, and once i get to 15-20bb i won't be raising with the intention to fold to a reraise too often, since its just too many chips to lose. Instead i'll be raising a fairly solid range, and reshoving where i can a bit light. This table isn't ideal for restealing since the players to act behind me are tight and not that active - but at some tables this would be a good time to look for spots where i can resteal.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/343165 - lame spot here, too many chips to shove and KTo on the button is a good hand, but the SB is active and seems fishy and the BB is tight but solid mtt player who has a good resteal stack. Maybe should have just folded this one.

The Sunday Brawl (FTP $256 BOUNTY TOURNAMENT!)

Not going to post all the tiny hands, so far called a few raises with sooted cards and pairs, not flopped anything. Turned a straight from the BB in a tiny pot and everyone folded.. basically nothing happened yet

I don't like to always call down here with the flushdraw, instead i try to play it stronger and just take it down - and i have outs if he calls. Turn bet is pretty standard after raising the flop to get him off his weaker hands

I think i was folding if he bet the river and it was a brick, but i think as played its an easy valuebet. I probably should have bet bigger since Jx calls to chop, and QQ/KK call too... i just thought he might call a smaller bet with some random underpair

I flop an overpair on a scary board so obviously have to call once. His turn bet just didnt feel right, so i called again planning to fold to a river bet, but the hand just didnt feel like a strong hand, and i figured he might valuebet JJ or AT here so i looked him up.

5650 at first break (started with 3000) no bountys collected yet

Just busted the brawl, i raise QJo in LP and CO calls, flop comes TT3 and i checkraise allin and he has KK. Didn't update anything cause family came home and little brother is annoying me.

Hes checking behind here for potcontrol with too many hands, and other hands. However i was eating and just autochecked, and then river was a thin valuebet and obv he had me beat... lame.

no interesting hands at all, bled down to 5800 at break

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/343320 - opponent has been really passive and quiet - hes rarely folding any of his range here to a cbet so i just check fold and he confirms my read. I think i'd be tempted to check fold some pairs like 77/88 here (i'd fold smaller pairs preflop)

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/343336 - this was a strange hand, the first guy had open limped a few times , once showing down AA and once QJs. The guy who minraised had been minraising w/ a weak hand over and over so i think i had to push, standard stars worse hand wins etc etc.
