I've been in Sydney with three friends for a little more than 1 week, we're planning to stay in sydney for atleast another 6 months and then travel around the country working and sigthseeing. We've started to look for some jobs and will soon get a furnished apartment with an internet connection soon. It will be expensive as hell but it's just as expensive for 4 ppl to live in a hostel as to rent a central 2/3 room apartment with furniture. The biggest plus except a lot of small comfy shit I will no longer have to share a room with this annoying german guy, he smells like fuckin' shit. Seriously, it's close to unbearable, i don't even know he can build up such a smell. It's like something from another dimension.
To the question, where can i play tournaments with a reasonable structure with a buy-in between 20-50$? And even more importantly, where can I find cash games with ok rake and 100bb with a buy-in somewhere between 50 & 100$?

nice come through kingaroy in queensland, drop by ;o
dont know about in new south wales but queensland has hardly any good poker locations, the best you can do live is 5/10 limit poker with $1 guaranteed rake that goes straight to the house just to play a single hand =( |

you could try the pokerdome in newtown - but i've never been there so i don't know.
otherwise you can come for a bbq at my place and if u r any good u can coach me for a free dinner and room... |

plus tuesday night's at my local pub there is a $5 tourney with $10-$50 sngs and lots of piss... always a good time! |

idk about the coaching, but once we've gotten jobs and an apartment I'll probably check out the game at your local pub.
