I have a 17 inch dell inspiron 6000 laptop. Can anyone suggest a 24 inch widescreen monitor that I can hook up to my laptop and have two monitors or is this not possible (pretty sure it is)...willing to spend no more then $500...

i dk if you can put 2 monitors on ur laptop(dk if thats what ur asking), but i have the same laptop or little newer one and i have my 20inch monitor hooked up to my laptop(for 2 screens)

why dont you try hooking it up to another monitor at your house, or possibly a friends house before you make a large investment for one? It is very possible, but you need a Dsub or DVI port on the back, and you need to have proper firmware installed to assist your driver software.
