Small sample, only played about 8k hands this week and ended down 3.5bi. Today was pretty lame in itself, seemed like every time I jammed in good equity spots I would get there on the turn and they'd redraw on the river. I mean, it isn't bad beats or suckouts, just loving flips. For some reason it sucks more if you get there and then they re-get there rather than just never getting there, lol. =)

I'm trying to play a straight forward TAG game lately but I really hate it. It feels like I never get paid off because my image is so tight and now no one wants to take shots bluffing at me either. I figured it'd be an easy chip up, but I keep spewing so that doesn't help anything. Maybe nitty isn't for me, maybe it is and 8k isn't enough. It's certainly low variance which is cool, I guess.

A few fun overpair folds

And some good old losers
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/249267 - Thin call in weird spot with TT. Ran this by a few people, feels like a call is OK.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/249268 - I make a bad play preflop, continued by bad play post flop to a hit card that forces me to put it all in. I still feel a river fold is OK.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/249270 - Preflop is horrible, post flop is even worse. My raise should be treated as value vs a call and a blocker vs an AI. Not good enough to fold there is sad..
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/249271 - Super thin call vs 3bet jam on flop.

I mean, all four of these spots I could have avoided but still not disciplined or good enough to do it. Maybe one week I'll get to make a post where its like "oh hey I played good and I won and I'm not living off rakeback" haha. Maybe, just gotta keep studying and grinding I guess. At least I have a day job.

Nothing else to report, just playing lots of hands "tight is right" and trying to stay positive. Maybe next week.

AT hand, I'm not sure why you felt compelled to raise the flop (pot no less too correct?) but since we did, why check turn?

Im only good at poker when I run good

I had a lapse of retard. I checked the turn because versus this perticular player I knew that if he called the flop he was probably still ahead on the turn since he'd only be laying down AQ vs my raise. If he had AK, so be it, but it was more likely I was still beat. I was like "cool, im a retard, i turned my hand into a bluff and i improved but cant do anything with it im good at poker"

LOL
