I have a comfortable BR for 5/10, I took a weekend off to clear my mind and today I decided to take a stab at it. Started off absolutley attrociously, I think I was trying to do too much and ontop of that I lost a few hands that I probably should have been able to get away from, set vs set, and overpair vs set + a few other stuff.

Took me about 1k hands to settle down (at this point I was down 5 buy ins) and I just said, "wtf and started to play care free (my regular style)" Possitive results followed, made about 4-5 buy ins after this (help with a decent run of cards) and finished the day -1.2k or so which is a result I'm proud of. +3-4k from my low point.

I should be able to win in this level at a decent rate. You can feel the regulars are slightly better in every aspect, the most noticable one is that they are very aggresive. I will make the proper adjustments and we will see where this goes.

Hands:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58353 *I think I was trying to do too much here, I've seent his guy play higher stakes so I figured I could take him off any hand that is not quads, he must have had it I guess. He claimed to have pocket tens, but im 90% sure he did not.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58356 *I actually felt he had an ace + gutshot hand or flush + gutshot , so I figured he had either 2 pair or the gutshot or missed flush, I probably should have folded though... This is probably a mistake on my part.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58360 *This is just plain retarded on his part. Did he call to hit a set? Or was he going on any low flop... who the hell knows.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58361 *I can't explain this one I suppose I got lucky the 8 came and the board didn't pair.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58367 *I folded the straight flush :/
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58373 *Funny how a lot of weird action always occurs blind vs blind
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58390 *Probably should have been able to get away here.... This was an impulsive call. It is however a 1 outer, because I only go broke if the ace falls, and if it was the ace of spades I would fold. Only the ace of diamonds I give action.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58393 *Retarded check raise, he has absolutley no fold equity.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58405 *This is such an obvious set now that I look at it. I was in the "he's bluffing me" mode. New stakes will do this to you, or at least me. On 3/6 NL this is an easy laydown.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58406 *Again I felt he had a set because he overbet the flop and now all of a sudden he wants to go all in, feels like a donk with a set. Again an easy fold but I could not get away...
These bad calls quickly add up you can see.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58411 *Played this hand perfect, had I frontbet river I think he may have just smoothcalled.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58413 *Again he limps in and calls $50 with ATs and flops the nuts... Had the jack not paired up I could get away from this, but with that pairing up I can now beat top 2 pair. He actually paused for a long time before calling, I was almost sure I had him.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58423 *Frontbet usually means really strong, I have to call here I didn't have a read, I just called because this is a weird line for a set and I can beat so many hands.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/58428 *Standard open shove

It's obvious I did not bring it in the first few thousand hands, had I been playng my standard game all along this could have easily been +2-3 buy in day. But that's fine I will have to get used to the new people + styles. This should not be a problem, I will continue to play these stakes and things will pick up.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same
