The result of allins pre river were determined by the winning % instead of drawing cards. for cash games as an alternative options to drawing x2

what if i told you, fishes like variance? fishes like cracking your aces otr with their suited connectors, they come back because they deserve to get even because they lost with AA on the river.

very true, but it would be an option, that you can choose not to use.

Was wondering how that would affect the game negatively and positively. Positively being that you can reduce variance by a little bit/ a lot?

They are determined by winning %. You just have to play enough to even it out.

what a terrible idea man.
My 90y o great aunt showed me how competition bridge works.
Basically when they rotate people get dealt the same computer generated cards, effectively removing variance as everyone gets dealt the same in the competition.

I thought what a great Idea for poker competitions, but then you realize if that happen poker would die out soon and nobody would make any money

Do you think a recreational chess player would play for money against a grand master?

There, your question is answered

Well technically the randomness is in the ore flop cards and flops etc not just all ins. So proper analogy would be playing shuffle chess or chess960 vs a Grandmaster for money. Answer - you still wouldn't.

LOL was so high when i thought about, thought it was a mirrion dorra idea

i've done cash games with friends where we could do similar things like this (like chop pot pre allin when it was a flip instead of drawing cards), which was an OPTION, not a must. don't see how an OPTION would ruin the games. understandably games might be affected if the rule was a must, but it wouldn't, obviously.

@ napoleono obviously :D but if you don't want to? or are the only person in the world to have the luck of being on life cooler ?

@ MadeInPolanD : lol, no. you? dont play cash games.

i get it, people love the gamble, people loves the monies, i just don't think it would affect the games to the extent everyone's making it out to be, since it would be optional and most likely between regs, like the x2 draws, to reduce their variance.

If you are 51% favourite to win, do you get 51% of the pot or do you scoop ? (given this idea)

51% of pot, though scooping every time you are ahead could be interesting option ^^

What about accumulative poker? Let's say that if you don't have pair jacks or better, then the pot stays in the pot for the next hand. Something kinda like that.

fish wont say "I decline the option, I am a losing player and will embrace variance"
they think they're good and will take the option and lose their $ faster

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol
