Considering how poorly I've been running these last 2 days, I am very happy with my results. I've put in 10k hands already and I don't feel like stopping at all. I lost 5 bi's in a matter of minutes today but I just kept on going and won back 3 of them. I just gotta keep on going and toughen it out, I am confident it will swing back in my favour

So that's why the next song I'ma post is Bone Thugs N Harmony - Ready 4 war. This was the first Bone Thugs song that I listened to and it was the first song of theirs I really liked. I would like to recommend any of their records for everybody and especially you hip hop cats out there, if you haven't heard any of it just download that shit, smoke a jay (or not) and put on any of their records. I can say (without a doubt in my mind) that the Art of War album by Bone thugs is one of the top 3 albums in hip hop history (word is bond). Their harmonic, melodic, fast-paced style or rapping is at its best here and DJ u-neek is really making the best beats (blending hiphop with rnb) of his career. So here's the track, hope you get hooked as well. Oh, and here's my graph as well. GL and CU!

good you realized that losing bis means nothing and should always play until you are tired or realize you are spewtilting which should never be happening.

only reason to quit is when you see you aren't taking advantage of spots you normally would and are feeling complacent. Otherwise grind it up

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

This is the hardest thing in poker for me... Whenever I'm up like 5 BIs I want to "secure" my win and just quit for the day, this is really terrible ;X

Once you feel you should secure your win you should stop. You cannot change how you are with money, its that simple. I've tried so hard to emulate gosu players over the years that it seriously affected my game/sessions for the worse. If your goals are money, then you should tailor your game to that which is closest to how you are, not what other people tell you what is right.

There are a lot of winning players who have short attention spans and are easily distracted(money, some funny shit they saw etc), so they play to their strengths and play very short sessions/hands and are generally better players because of it. If there is one thing I've grown to realize in poker but I have never really done is to hone my soft skills according to my personality. Poker theory has nothing to do with it. What makes you play bad, tilt, get tired and be distracted should be your primary reasons to stop - whatever those may be.

Some people like wobbly, mipwnya and joeingram can power through the most disgusting swings and still come out on top on a consistent basis - they are unique that way, but to make the mistake to think that you can do the same(well you will know it if you're honest with yourself) just so that you are in the "correct" form (when you really arent built that way) is for me the biggest mistake one can make.

remember denial runs the industry and some of us can never be nanonoko

that is helpful info whamm for people to find out more about themselves and a good way to stop negative part of individual's game, but I do disagree that it is what it is and nothing can change. Absolutely you can change, as it's not a genetic thing but merely a mental thing.

You can have predispositions of tilting after losing/scared money after winning, but that isn't the same as being born with 1 leg and me telling you could walk like everyone else if you tried harder. The realization of one's faults and being honest in the moment, with a plan to follow suit, is the only thing you can do to help. Maybe if you talked to yourself for 5mins before a session about the reality of poker money and why you are playing poker, then during your session you will have a more focused mental concept of what's going on. 5 bi means complete shit over your life, all that matters is if you can look at the situation and see if you made mistakes. Reflection is the only thing we have in a game that we do all alone.

There is almost 99% chance you can overcome this and only a very tiny % of people actually would have a disorder that only medication could 'sedate' your fears/nerves. Realize you most probably can become mentally strong like the "galfonds/durrr". You are your own catalyst in life and if you want something, it will take active work ethic just like any other part in your life. Even Galfond had a 'mental' coach to help him through his career, that was that Tom angelo, but really you don't need my words or his. You just need to learn to think constructively instead of whine/worry/wonder/laze around.

The smartest people cannot accomplish anything without motivation and work ethic and anyone can increase their motivation/work ethic.

im starting to realize how far you can go with practically anything with motivation and hard work. i'm trying to get into a successfull way of thinking, almost like im saying to myself "what would longple do?" just like highcard is saying in the last sentence of his post, motivation and work ethic is something you create in yourself. so even if you lose 5 bi one day, wtf does that really matter in the long run? even if it's what you have won the last 3 days, how many times haven't you won like 10 bi in a day? swings will be swings, just play well and be happy that you can keep playing well when running bad (and be honest enough with yourself do analyze your own game if you're not playing well).

1999 best album imo
then again I usually listen to bone via the compilation of nearly all of their records on my mp3 player, I could actually have more favored tracks on art of war for all I know
