Crawling back to the cross..

Don't know where to start really. Last blog was obv not written at a good time, and 2011 was the worst year I've ever had to go through in life. Not gonna write a book about it here as I remember regretting that blog almost immediately upon clicking send.

My situation is a bit different now, a bit better. I'm in school Taking 4 courses, mostly via the web, but it's going quite well. My English class in particular is going very well.

But my economy is fucked up, I now know what it's like to be one of those poor students you hear about. I haven't played poker in ~6 months, and I both miss it and I don't. At times it was a heavy burden to bear, but certainly it was also the best money I ever saw, and for that reason I'm now looking for a stake.

Never been staked before, so pretty clueless on the details. Kinda looking for the staker to set the conditions. I just hope my name still means something on LP, and even though past merits in this business don't hold much water, I'm hoping people remember me as a stand-up, honest and legit no-nonsense guy. Not gonna pressure anyone to vouch for my legitimacy, but if anyone wants to, please go ahead.

Poker-wise, tbh I'm unsure of my current abilities. Maybe it'll take some getting used to, but I hope I could manage to grind out a profit at something like NL100/NL50, I dunno. I will show my handbooster graph to those interested in staking me, but not openly on here. Don't think anyone on here can vouch for my skill or lack of skill as I always kept my nicks a secret.

If staked, I intend to play a LOT. My laptop can take up to 6 Ongame tables without overlapping, so 6 tables = maximum for me. Been a long time since I played 9-12 tables, and I think 6 is probably better anyway in today's game.

Like I said I don't know how stakes usually work, but I would be looking to cash out some of my eventual winnings relatively early, say end of March, as things in our household are pretty tight right now. Maybe cash out rakeback? I dunno.

The staker will always be able to get a hold of me, that's a promise. I don't fuck around with other people's shit.

Interested? PM me and we'll talk further. Really hope I can get something going again.

Peace

Edit: btw, all you people who sent me PMs on my last blog and I never got back to, I'm sorry, I was just basically emotionally spent at the time. I read every PM though and really appreciated hearing from some guys that I had only talked to for a short period of time on MSN back in 2009 or whenever it was. Warmed my heart

Probably gonna need rakeback I think. Only played a few hundred hands on SvS. Seemed ok, but need rakeback!

Ok, I would highly recommend SvS though, especially if you're going to play few tables. Rake is sick-low (2.5% I think?) so no need for RB. Only reason not to play NLHE here would be to mass table or play higher stakes.
Just my opinion, you should consider it atleast :D

Oh, didn't know. Yeah, I'll consider all offers for sure

Staking people is dumb.

This guy has emotional problems if he can't even keep a blog going.
Not very +EV to stake a poor college student with emotional problems.

C'mon man, you're selling yourself in this blog. You gotta oooze confidence + specifics if you want to get staked.

I'd rather be completely honest. It's better in the long run. How can I be anything but unsure of my current abilities in poker when I haven't played in 6 months? I'm sure I will be profitable in NL100/NL50, but I'm not gonna exaggerate and say I will crush or try to hypnotize people into staking me, that's not my game.

Yeah, my emotional problems are being worked on in more ways than one. Anyone who is interested in staking me can ask whatever questions they want about my emotional state, and I'll answer openly about everything. But I'm not gonna write anything out in the open as I've decided it's too personal.

Specifics, though, I can share. My handbooster graph will show me as a long term winner in NL200 and NL1K, albeit a swingy NL1K ride. A loser at NL2K and break even at NL600. I may have problems, but I've played a lot of poker in my days and honestly, staking me has to be +EV. That's all I'm gonna say for now.

All else aside (and I'm fairly sure Stygg is correct in most of what he writes) I don't see wtf inability to keep a blog going has to do with winrates.

Dusty
I just get a feeling he's trying to cover up some past tilt tendancies to make hismelf look better.
Secondly, if i were going to get a stake it'd be like this:

Yo, I'm sniderstyle. I used to be pro for 2 years then black Friday came and I spent all my poker winnings trying to survive.
Internet poker is regulated again but now I'm busto, plz stake me

-here are my 1.5 million lifetime hands/graph
-here is my pokertable ratings screen name(s)
-here are my years of blogs of being a trustworthy and valuable member to the community
- here are my recommendations from trustworthy members of the community

*
You'll also have 100% access to my account and I'll try to make you feel as comfortable as possible because i know how scary it is to give a random person money over the internet.

That's what I would look for if I were to EVER stake anyone.

But I'd be more like Phil Galfond who says that he's never ever staked anyone ever and will never. But he does buy action from people when they take shots at higher stakes.

Things like 100% access to my account, I kind of already took that as a given, isn't that standard? Whatever the staker asks of me in terms of monetary security on his behalf, I'll provide. I've already said I will be available at all times, short of sleeping hours, I will never disappear or do anything that is remotely shady. I was hoping my honest assessment of the situation would give the big picture of me being just that; honest.

I can't mention black friday as it didn't affect me, I also don't have or could dig up more than a fraction of the ~2 mill or however many hands I've played lifetime. The only thing I have that is accurate is my handbooster graph, the only (to my knowledge) accurate graph for Ongame players. Maybe I have a few thousand unprocessed hands on this computer too, I'm not sure.

I've done bets with people on LP, world cup bets, and upon losing I have promptly sent the money. If anyone asks for proof of this, I will provide it.

Bottom line is, anyone who PMs me with questions will get 100% honest answers from me.

I agree with waga, I'm not going to stake anyone but stygg's honesty makes him look very trustworthy.

Also, using longple's definition I'm a complete tard =(

After all is said and done, more is said than done.

So what limit are you looking to get staked for? How low are you willing to start?

bye now

Well, in order to make some actual money relatively quickly, I feel like NL50 would be the lowest limit I would want to play. Preferably NL100, and wishfully NL200, but noone's gonna stake me for that I think. Four hours per day with 6 tables of NL50/NL100 would give me enough daily rakeback that I would consider a good source of income the way things stand right now. I'm willing to put in a lot of hours and I really want both parties to get somewhere with this, it's important to me that whoever takes a chance with me feels it was worth it.
