The adjustments that I mentioned last day, well, they weren't needed, when I managed to sit at tables where people weren't overly aggressive e.g. like to limp.
Moreover, the regs that I encountered today were TAGs, but they weren't that tricky or tough. So I was able to make another 6 BIs on this day playing relatively straightforward and solid.
4 Afternoon hands http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535240 T8d Cute multiway bluff http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535317 QQ Lucky that I ran into a smaller pair and held. Didn't know how to respond if I was check-raised AI on flop. Probably still call. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535318 97d PF is questionable. But I made a strong pot-committing check-raise on the flop that will probably fold out some weaker overpairs. Too bad I ran into the virtual nuts. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535319 AK The call-down was very questionable, but then I saved myself some money by flatting PF. Against a shortie I would often get 4-bet AI by all pocket pairs. In addition, if I flat PF and spike TPTK I can comfortably go AI with this stack size.
Quick break, and then an evening session vs worse competition http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535421 AQ worst lost of the day, which is an indication of how well I ran. However, this again is an unnecessary calldown. First, the dude bet into a 4-way scary flop. 2nd, King on turn made me fall behind KQ. Lastly, even the dude was non-standard laggy I didn't think he is stupid enough to lead out with a weaker Ace on the river. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535419 KK of course I wasn't planning to go broke with 1 pair after limping this hand. However against a 25BB shortie it's probably okay. Would've happened anyways, even if I raised PF...... http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535409 AK But I got it back the very next hand......nice river call BTW...... http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535406 A6s More back-to-back fun. Part I. Dream flop http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535407 AA Part II. Standard vs decent reg. Lucky that he had AK, not KK http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535408 AA vs monkey
A few other hands http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535413 99 Really didn't know about this one. Villain was quite laggy, but my 99 stayed overpair on turn when I picked up extra outs, so I put in a raise. River was quite bad -- he might have JT/T9/Txd so I didn't want to risk losing the pot by checking, or worse, check-calling AI vs his 10. So I continued representing a monster (888/straight/boat) and ran him off the pot. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535414 97s I didn't have pot odds to call the turn, but river was scary for him if he had 2 pairs (AK/QJ both improved). So I bluffed and was rewarded with a fold after a lengthy consideration. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535416 A9h I made a smallish c-bet and a smallish 3-bet on this missed, dry-as-hell flop, and convinced my opponent that I had TP solidly beaten. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/535418 QTh Another hmm spot. I didn't like his flop call, but he may not like the Ace on the turn, so I decided to fire again in order to find it out. And I got a fairly quick fold.
I run like god at NL25 right now. Up 2 buyins in 150 hands. hit quads twice, and nutflush on flop first hand. i dont like running hot when moving up because then i might make a habbit out of bad situations which worked while i was on a winning streak. i dont want to run like shit either, i just want to run normal!
anyways, played 200 hands so far of NL25, and I went from $502 to $556 in less than an hour playing 2 tables.
What do you think? McCain was obviously as always a bloody monkey. Dont think i have to explain myself on that one. Obama tho, to be honest, extremely dissapointing. Somewhere midway campaign i did claim that both candidates were idiots, its just that McCain was simply unacceptable. But then Obama started coming through and i started to a bit believe that he was indeed special. Still hope that he is and his weak performance in debate was just a fluke. I cant believe how he was completely unprepared to rebuttal McCain's personal attacks, really, was he expecting McCain to actually talk about economics and foreign policy.
At least we all know whatll happen in Biden-Palin debate. Poor woman.
EDIT: Oh i jumped the gun there a bit. No we dont exactly know. Theres still the question of whether Sarah will be able to answer a single question straight in this campaign.
My first goal for FTP was to pass the 6k mark so I can play 6 tables of NL200. This morning I did just that It was quite a relief since I was very close several weeks back but then I had a 2k downswing, playing bad and ended up being unlucky in big pots.
But now I´m setting new goals! Next one will be at 10k where I will start playing 2 tables of NL400, and when I pass 14k I will be playing 6 tables of NL400. Besides a few hands, I have never played NL400 before, so that will be very exciting! Is there a hugh difference between these two levels?
No more poker today now. I will study a bit and then play paintball with some friends. Wish you all a good weekend!
apparently the mountain in a graph was a heater, cuz now i just never hit a flop, if i hit then theres no profit in it!
Players, who i mark as call stations, cuz they always call my bluff, never call my good hand!
So, do i continue playing like this? Must be more patient? cuz 11k hands is quite a lot for NOTHING

After a 3-month hiatus I realized that I can't live without poker. The game is fun and making money is fun. QED
Here are some changes that I decide to incorporate into my game for the next little while:
1) Raise much less frequently in the blinds. So what if I pick up JJ or AQ? We are supposed to disguise our hands. So there is no need to ring alarm bells for our villains. Also, rarely reraise PF with monsters, esp in position. I have been doing this for the past few days, with moderate success. Even against standard TAGs raising 15% of their hands PF, reraising simply blows away too much of the trash.
2) Limp behind with monsters, with intentions to reraise PF. With so many people wanting to "punish limpers" with big late-position raises this has become an attractive option.
3) Slowplay like there is no tomorrow, becoz when you flop a monster, chances are your opponent didn't. Give them a chance to catch up or keep bluffing. Esp against cautious thinking players -- if they are unlikely to stack off with top pair make sure don't blow them away by raising flop and following up on turn. If you just flat a drawy flop with a set, thinking players won't put you on a monster and might try to bluff catch later on.
So far I have registered 4 consecutive winning sessions with almost $1000. And I did it without significant suckouts. Hoping to keep it up.
please post on here or msg me if you are interested,

I is a univarsity studentby wilddamon, September 26
I just turned 21 recently, however due to the number of assignments I have on, I spent all of my birthday studying
On the plus side, I have now completed: writing a simple compiler for my software project, a lab report on transistor characteristics, a report on my embedded systems interface design project...
ok, so most of you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, so I'll stop now.
Obviously, I haven't played much poker, since I've mostly been studying, and downloading more music for my mp3 player. On which note, I managed to break my headphones adfasdfadsf how do I study without my headphones to block distractions T_T
I've also applied for some summer jobs, fingers crossed!
How do i view the stats of a single session, i would like to see my stats of sessions during the afternoon and night and compare them. All i can are the stats of my total hands in each limit, but i need individual sessions. Is it possible? I use the trail version, is that feature disabled?
