I've been playing 8 tables lately and have just been doing really shitty. Playing way too much like a robot and not actually thinking about why I'm making a specific play against each opponent. I'm like hey AQ 3-bet time, or end up donk leading flops cause i forget if i raised pf. I guess I just have a hard time multi-tasking. Played 4 tables today and was really able to focus more and think about what my opponent is repping and why I have to fold, or raise a particular spot. Gonna stick to 4 tabling now even though its slower and maybe add a table or two if the session is going well. I had success playing less tables in the past but figured I was good enough and knew how to beat the level well enough to play more tables, but obv not :/.
some notable hands if u nl players are interested in seeing what goes on in the world of min bet poker!! limit is all abt squeezing those extra vbets in.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/690193
77 vs preflop 3bet. the flop is paired, its unlikely he has a piece of it. his likley holdings are aj-ak kq kjs so i craise him for value and to protect my hand. he just calls and my assumption is correct. however some gd players wait for the turn to reraise if they are strong, with a read, u could fold to a turn reraise. i cbet the turn, he just calls and his hand is now face up. river is easiest vbet in the world and he pays me off.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/690195
blind defense hand. i hit mp with a gs and op to donk out and he rearises me. no point reraising here as my hand has sd value and plenty of outs. i make trips on the turn and craise him and he 3bets. i put him on a draw and cap. river is an easy vbet and he pays off with a draw and pair
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/690202
he 3bets me and 1010 is a cap pre flop for me. flop comes k high i bet and he just calls. same thinking as hand1 and river is easiest valuebet
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/690204
i make trips on flop, i slow play and just call, waiting to cr turn. on the turn comes the worse card in the world. no point rerasing here, im Way ahead way behind. i fold out worse hands and lose value and get value towned by better hands so i just call. my line induces him to bluff the river with a high.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/690185
i have lots of history with this guy, and he is very very spewy and donates to me every session. i make trips and a fd on the flop, and he reraises me on turn. since he just called pf, its impossible for him to have AK KK and very unlikely A9 A8. from expereince, he goes nuts with trips no kicker so his likely holding is ace2-6. having the fd makes it an easy cap on the turn vs this player. the river completes my flush and i elect cap it - and get max value from his ace10 which i was quite surpised to see. vs a normal tag i would have just called down the river.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/690179
i had notes on this player as being very passive and make this sick fold getting 10bilion to 1 with the second nuts. HAND OF THE WEEK PLZ
Well I got the keys to my new house yesterday, I went to see it's state today, seems all fine, was weird to see it all empty Either way my uncle who's going to do all the renovations will be here in quebec on tuesday, I'm changing a bunch of things, can't wait to see how it'll looks.
I'm moving in on June 18th when all the renos will be done so then Loco and Nabz can come over and chill for a few days and enjoy my new place =)
Poker is going well even though I'm not on pace for May, I wanted to make 150k for may and I'm currently only at 56k, so well, I don't really mind all that much since I'm ahead of pace for my yearly goal...
I went to watch Star Trek yesterday and sat next these three irritating trekki geeks who kept making the stupid Vulcan hand sign thing. Everytime it appeared on screen three hands would pop up as if they were giving Spock the Vulcan high five and they kept GIGGLING at every goddamned old school Star Trek reference and the worst was when they giggled during an emotional moment in a lift after lots of people died. Of course I couldn't help but face palm and that smudged my spectacles and I had to clean them which made me miss part of the emotional moment in the lift.
Then the lights come on and I get a good look at them and they're all short and pudgy and ugly as fuck and they look like siblings but I'm sure this isn't some deviant sexual practice, it's just a bunch of losers who are so sad they have to date their own siblings so they won't have to watch the hottest show around right now alone.
Then this morning I had to wake up at 6am to see my parents off at the airport. There was this long queue at the check in counter but my parents had done an internet check in so they went to the counter right next to it labelled "QUICK BAG DROP". There's this stupid woman in the long queue and her eyes just pop out of her head when she sees my parents using the quick bag drop counter and she's like, "I did an internet check in too! They didn't make it clear!" Woman, the counter says "QUICK BAG DROP" in large letters. What the fuck else could it be for other than quickly dropping off your bags? And then as if to prove her stupidity she continued queueing in the long queue even after my parents were done and the quick bag drop counter was empty.
sustained combustion! so awesome to hit the hands needed preflop and win every flip.
I actually overslept, free rolls start at 6am my time. didn't start playing this tourney till I was blinded down from 1500 to 1300.
i would like to suscribe to leggopoker for 1 month but they only accept paypal
Therefore i'm looking for someone who can send me 33$ on my paypal account.
I can give you Pokerstars or Moneybookers money.
and I send first of course!
HM, wow, first big loss -8bi/1.6k hands :Sby dahornnn, May 16
Ok well as i only really started grinding properly last monday or so, i was running ok thought i was making some good plays or whatever and generally playing well (minus a few hands that people have been kind enough to comment on) and well, to day i went for another session chill out as a break from revising for my exams next week, and i just lost every hand going. The only bit of luck i had was one outing kings and some idiot paying off my quads but aside from that, i lost EVERY possible flip and hit some redic coolers. Lost a rediculous pot where a guy was shoved the turn on a gutshot into my set and hit, that just did it for me ill try find it and upload it later, but what thoughts do you guys have on getting through downswings? just play more?
Also on a side note, would you say 20k hands in a week is a bit excessive?
Heres my graph, my graph of downswing
So its noticable that i seem to have been going 'steady' as such but after that its a real kick in the teeth, after wasting god knows how much on donkaments the other day it looks like im going to have to drop to nl5 for a while ^^.
Also if anyone is willing rail me to find leaks or w.e if i send HH or even give me some coaching i would be greatful (would have to volunterily ofcourse).
Any tips thoughts comments are appreciated, time for a break then ball some nl5
peace
Also RL friend tilts me
He says he is not willing to pay more than 5€ for another friends birthday present ...
Guy is rhich like shit and spends money on all kind of useless shit ...
He has not earned the money himself but he has a very rhich uncle
Guy has a 20.000€ car
a 1.700€ Laptop
a 1.500€ chair in his room >-<
a 1.000€ bike that he never uses
he rarely wears clothing that costs less than 200€ a piece
and now he says he will not spend 14€ on a birthday present we choose for one of our best friends ...
So I have been Chatting with KillthemDonks and after while I got an idea of analysing my graphs, and what not and then deleting my PT3 database to have a 'Fresh Start' ;p
It is about three months since I started playing poker, and I became a NL25 reg by now I believe.
However, I have never really tried hard to review my sessions, but something recently made me to.
I came from +7ptBB/100 to a big loser, hitting incredibly bad runs over past 30K hands. Really ridiculous series of coolers and suckouts. I still think that even with so many leaks I beat NL25 when I run normal, but as always in downswing it is time for a major review, as I will hardly find motivation to do it once the things will go into normal again.
We will be looking at past 15 days since I started 9 tabling NL25 because of the ridiculous VPP promo, and each blog post will cover one area where I think I made some systematic mistakes.
1) I call 3bet when faced with a steal raise when I was at the table for 18 hands.
Than I try to represent a set on a drawy board to a villain that cannot have any idea how we play, and will push probably any overpair.
4Bet PF if I believe he is 3 betting very lightly when defending, or fold pre. Huge bluffs like this without history are stupid.

2) During my deep tilt, I started raising 5BB+X at this table with the 50VP fish. I think if I decide to do this and I know he will call I can, but only with a high card hand and not a drawing one, as I am voluntarily killing my implied odds here.
Once on the flop I am faced with standard raise it and make a note situation (donks bet small on dangerous boards and it can mean either crap, draw or nuts- same thing with each villain usually but by no means an universal thing), but my raise is unnecessarily big - 2.80 would do the trick if he has air, especially against a fishy villain who hardly makes difference in raise sizes.
EDIT: Rockman actually noted that its better to do the raise only with outs /as a semi-bluff, thoughts?
It has to work about 40% of the time if I raise $3 against unknown.

What to change:
-Don't call 3bets with low sc -Prefer High card value hands against 50VP+ fishes in blinds when I raise 4BB+Xbb -Don't make big bluffs against unknowns -Raise way less small SC UTG, UTG+1 More? -thats where you come in ;o

The Borgata is hosting their $500k guaranteed deepstack tourney again next week, and I'm planning on just going and playing it. I'm going to head home on friday so I can be sure to get registered and still play my last 2 FTOPS events this weekend. Because of the FTOPS ME being sunday I'm gonna go for starting on day 1b at the Borgata on monday.
I'm going to play in the event regardless, but if I can manage to hedge the buy in by selling some action then I might as well try and see what I can get. The buyin is $1650, so 5% would be $82.50 , 10% is 165 , and etc. I guess I'd sell up to 70% if I can somehow get that much. If you're interested then PM me or something and we can work it out. I don't really expect many (if any) people to buy anything, but I figure why not ask anyway? =]
P.S. - Last time they had this event over 900 people played and they crushed the guarantee, and first got $393k or something around there.

I'll post graph at end of day i still might not be done.
here's what's happened so far, as a total recap ever since i started taking grinding poker seriously this summer.
deposited 500 bones on FTP
played shitload of 11$ SNG turbos / nl50 FR to grind up to 1.5k , where i started downswonging / break even for about 60k hands
reviewed my play and realized altho i was running below expectation, there was still no excuse for some of my poor play and leaks. was able to find some of these leaks on my own, but still need help on the others one - however i just cant afford coaching right now, but i really hope i can find a coach who will do discounts or whatever.
this last week i've started running at expectation and as a result have grown my BR into a 2.5k roll, 50 BI's for 50nl. I've decided to hold off on taking a shot at 100nl (which ive said i would before), and take my shot when i have 3k.
Took one day off so far this month from grinding and that was to play live, ended up getting run over by a monkey with J6 vs my top two, with K4 vs my AK. spewed my last 40bb with A7ss in a straddled pot PF. got 5 callers and was sent home empty handed. Honestly just didn't have the patience last night to sit and grind. was very upset that i couldnt get into any situations with the two aggrotards to my right where i could stack them, meh
Tonight marks the beginning of Seattle Poker Tour's opening night. There is a free to play tournament at 7PM @ Jillians Billiards. There is also a tourney at 1PM.
Winner of each tournament will play HU to compete for a WSOP seat in Denver. I'm heading out there tonight just to check it out but pm if you're interested in going. I'm sure some of Washington's finest lurk LP here and there
Its the middle of May today and its been a little while since Ive done any kind of update on what Ive been doing and how things poker wise have been too. So Ill get started.
I came home for the week last Friday because it was mothers day as well as my moms birthday. We did the usual, dinner, presents etc. It was nice to have a home cooked meal instead of my shit cooking all the time lol.
I finally found some clones to grow this summer. I ended up going splits on 50 of them with 2 of my buddies. Hopefully we can make some nice dough at the end of the summer. Monday we went out look for spots to put them all. The spot I used last year is now a bunch of houses in developement so that was kind of a piss off. I think I found a pretty good spot to put them. Hopefully Ic an grab em all this weekend sometime and get em in the ground.
Thursday I went to see the Toronto Blue Jays play the New York Yankees. My buddy didnt want to drive so we took the GreyHound down. When the bus got there to pick us up it was fucking packed and we had to stand the whole way to Toronto which is about an hour and a half drive. That sucked. We finally got there and the bus dropped us off out front of the Fairmount Royal York hotel. We decided to take the SteamWhistle brewery tour. If you guys are ever in Toronto going too see a Jays game / Leafs game I would recommend taking this tour before hand because they feed you free samples of there beer the whole time. We managed to get a nice buzz on before we left to go buy our tickets. We ended up buying our tickets off this scalper who I had to bargain like crazy with. He was a real fuckin scum bag and was really pissing me off. Eventually we ended up paying him $35 for some sick seats. He wanted $60!!!!!! what a joke.
The game itself was pretty good. We got to see Sabathia pitch for the Yankees. He is a big mother fucker lol. It was a really close game and then in the 8th inning Matsui hit a dinger and that was that. Jays lost 3-2 We all had proline tickets on the game and I would won some nice money i the fuckin Jays pulled through because I took Detroit and Carolina on my ticket too and they both won. I think Im now officially 0-40 on proline. Fuck sakes. Why cant we just bet on one game like in the states?
After the game we had a bit of time to kill before our bus came at 11:30. We went to this pretty cool sports bar to watch the overtime between Boston and Carolina. This bar was pretty sick it had TVs in the floor lol. No matter where you were in the place you could always see a TV. Pitchers of beer were $24 which wasnt cool though lol. We went back to the Royal York to catch our bus. A Grey Hound came but it wasnt our bus. The driver said that pur bus didnt pick us up here, instead it would pick us up over on Bay and Dundas which wasnt close at all. So yea... we missed our fucking bus. We decided to walk down to the Bus station since nonoe of us had enough money to rent a hotel room for the night. When we go to the station the next bus didnt leave until 3:30 am.... ugh. We got tickets and found another bar called the Loose Moose. Nothing special lol. FINALLY 3:30 rolled around and we got our bus home. AND we didnt have to stand the whole time lol. I ended up crashing at my buddies because we were all way to drunk to drive home.
The next day I was pretty hung over and strolled into my house around 9am. I crashed hard and didnt wake up until 6:00 at night lol. My buddy was throwing a little bash at his place but the last thing I wanted to do was drink so I ended up going to see Star Trek with a couple people. When I was young I was nota Star Trek fan at all. I actually thought it was really gay and that Star Wars pwned the shit outta that show lol. To my surprise though I really enjoyed this movie. I wont go into details about it or anything incase some of you havent seen it yet. I give it a 7/10.
Not really sure what Im going to do today. This is the first May 24 weekend in 4 years that I havent gone away camping or to a cottage. Kinda depressing. Weather is so shit out this weekend thought so I guess its not a total failure lol. Some of my buddies wanted to go to there place in St. Catharines and hit up the bar My Cottage. My Cottage is a pretty sick bar. Its basically a massive Patio full of hunnies lol. Its to shitty out tonight though so it probably wont be pumpin at all so I think Im going to pass and just chill out here for the night and save some money.
Things are going great when it comes to Poker. Ive been doing very well this month and hopefully I can continue this streak until the end of May. Right now Im trying to clear my deposit bonus on UltimateBet. Its taking a lot long then I wanted it to but oh well. Im playing NL25 right now but on UB there is never more then 10 tables running and a lot of the time there full of the nitty ass regs who I dont really feel like playing with. I always find myself with like 4 tables of NL25 running then like 11 NL10 tables going at the same time. Im very very very clsoe to NL50 so hopefully I can move up full time soon. I took a shot at NL50 the other day and it went pretty good. I have to admit though I ran hot as shit lol. ( http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/688223 / http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/688217 ) Booked a 2 buyin win so Im pretty happy about that.
Once Im done clearing my bonus Im shippin out and moving over to FTP to clear the $600 first time deposit bonus and rakeback. Im kinda sad that I missed out on the Mini FTOPS events. I woulda loved to take one of those bitches down lol. Im not sure if they are doing the Mini WSOP again this year but if they are Im for sure going to hit those up. Im looking forward to playing on FTP because theres always lots of games going and Its not Ultiamtebet so its a win win situation lol.
But anyways guys Im going to go watch Any Given Sunday on TV and chill out. Hope MAy is going well for everyone.
I decided to brush up on the games i should have played, but didnt. Been a long time fan of Silent Hill, and decided to start with that since its the sort of game you can play despite the shitty graphics- enjoy the storyline and atmosphere.
Certainly i've been spoiled tho. By the games that at least try to make sense and care about being user friendly. But in the time of Mario where you couldve spent hours trying to beat a frustrating level comfort was not part of the equation. It is utterly frustrating(or tilting) how unplayable the controls are. Spoiled by the fancy FPS and 3PS that employ playable controls(i.e. Hitman, Max Payne) I straight up suck at killing in SH. The camera angles the directors chose do tend to creating a solid atmosphere of dread at times, but mostly it just always turn you away from the mobs youre supposed to be facing. Which is doubly frustrating cos i'm, as we all nerds are, good at games, and in some ways I take pride in that(although much less now that i'm old and boring). I'm only at the opening the clock tower in the Midwich elementary, and i'm already out of bullets and medkits. I am dreading the moment i will have to encounter the boss, because it will likely mean i will have to restart from some obscure prior point.
OK. As to making sense. Spoiled(again) by the games that try to abide logic I find the puzzles extremely tilting(i.e. the piano puzzle- OMG the fucking medallion is ON THE FUCKING WALL USE A CHAIR MOTHERFUCKER), ffs how hard would it be to hide it in a safe on the wall. Also what the fucking fuck are bullets doing all over elementary school? Isnt that a tad bit "unsanitary"???
As for enjoyment. The atmosphere is surely splendid, Akira Yamaoka is a genius. Even tho it really isnt, i manage to scare myself into being scared. Creepy thing happened today in the morning when while the game was loading up the door to my room suddenly came open for no logical reason at all. OOOH Spooky.
New day, weird day again. Woke around 01:00 some weird female screaming wanting to borrow a car and the cops are in the way or something, so I woke!!
But I fought hard and managed to fall asleep again, but 25 minuts later the screaming girl was back and I woke again!!
But a third time I finally managed to fall asleep, but then some ppl who got drunk got home, and I just gave up and woke up xD
Had a session, first losing session I had this week, annoying, but didn't lose to much, down a few buy ins.
Here are the hands I had the most trouble with. It was a table which just broke, and a guy came and we were heads up for a littlebit
Other than that, I watched another bluefire vod, read 6-7 articles on 2+2, the three articles on bluefire and I've read some stuff about other top poker players, like Galfond, Aejones, Bobbofitos and Isura, not sure why, but I felt it was a little productive.
Quick stop at the gym, and I'm back now, and im knackerd, but gonna try stay awake a little longer <3
So this is my first blogpost on liquidpoker and im starting with the question, if any of you guys would want to sweat each others sessions with me, so we get some exchange of thoughts and could imrpove our game. Im currently playing 50NL. If anyone is interested write me a pm or in this blog.
